APPLE WATCH COMPATIBILITY

November 2023 we purchased two Apple Watch Ultras. Not without first sourcing information from cellular providers in the be Philippines, as to which if any provided cellular service that included the use of Apple Watches.
Firstly, Apples official website provides a global listing of cellular providers which supports Apple Watches as well a breakdown of which watch series is compatible in that area of the planet with a detailed list of frequencies used there to enable Apple Watch use there.
Philippines is on the list of compatibility, referring to the cellular provider GLOBE.
Great we found our go to cellular provider in the Philippines.
After our purchase and familiarization with the Apple Watch’s , we were ready to setup the watches sims and functionality as stand alone cellular and data.
After diligently following the instructed steps to do so, resulted in a message indicating that The cellular provider GLOBE in fact did not provide service for Apple Watch.
TAKE NOTE OF TIME OF DISCOVERY;
November 15Th 2023 : sourced a provider of service for Apple Watch Ultra , in the Philippines. At time of sourcing the information, GLOBE CELLULAR IN THE PHILIPPINES was indicated on the list of providers globally. (Clearly indicated with frequency/ frequencies used for this service.
When attempting to activate our Apple Watches within our active GLOBE accounts.
Notice pops up that GLOBE does not provide service for the Apple Watch Ultra.
So…….. between the sourcing a compatible provider of cellular service for the watches and time of setting up the watches, the watches were obsolete and no longer supported by GLOBE CELLULAR? Weeks later finding out that Apple’s APPLE WATCH ULTRA 2 is supported. Fine tuning services and compatibility provided to accommodate the newer rollout of version 2. LESS THAN THREE MONTHS LATER.
Now that’s a short sighted decision on someone’s part.
If I am missing any crucial information with respect to the issue here, please enlighten us. We’d appreciate the input and help.
Other than this point. We are immensely satisfied with GLOBE CELLULAR SERVICES.

Confusing

There are to many plans to choose from it is not clear what the plans offer. Once my plan expires I will be moving to a better provider. If I could give half a Star I would.

Soul destroying

As per other reviews, this app fails to complete many times when load /data purchasing. Maybe an issue with the third party security checking but whatever it is it fails frequently. Expect to waste half your life trying to renew your data. And how about including options for buying load/ data for longer periods of time ? That would reduce the amount of hours of my life I lose when trying to purchase.

Very Unpleasant and waste of time experience

The bought the eSIM and doesn’t work,
I answered very thing it and still doesn’t have network all I got from the app is more advertising Nonsense, I would not recommend this app or get the eSIM from this app, no support even the people from Globe doesn’t even know how set it up, it’s completely unpleasant experience and waste of money and time.

Poor App and customer service

This would be the last time that I would be using the service. This app as well as the network itsef is a trap. I bought a promo for my other number and was sent back to me and so I ended up having too much data and UNLI promos in my account. Tried explaining this to one of the agent customer service center but to no acail as they can not explain how the glitch happens. My only request was to revert the charges and send it to my other number, but again the customer service CAN'T DO ANYTHING.

Sim for Foreign Traveller

I bought this Globe Sim & downloaded app whilst travelling in the Philippines. After jumping through multiple hoops to register the Sim, I found the app utterly useless and trying to buy data through the app an absolute nightmare, never really functioned properly so I’ll be roaming on another network provider next visit. what a shame globe can’t provide a decent service to travellers and a loss of foreign revenue for this wonderful country.

The App is crashing

app is crashing after the update… how can i pay online? Your services are not good. But when you make bills too fast

TERRIBLE

I buy data boosts all the time because it is soooooo slow and i suspect that i am out of data…. because the app shows ZERO data left. Then i discover that the app is showing ZERO data remaining even after i pay for a data-boost. So am i paying for nothing?

I spent ages waiting on the Customer Care Line and was told to reload the app. It made no difference.

DO THE DEVELOPERS READ THESE REVIEWS? IF THEY DO WHY, OH WHY, OH WHY DON’T THEY DO SOMETHING TO ADDRESS THE ISSUES.

Probably best if the developers scrap the app and start developing another from scratch!

Btw….. one ‘good’ thing: Globe always makes sure their bills are on time even for non-existent data.

App Randomly works

I just can’t believe Globe, one of the largest tele communications company in the country, has this level of lack of professionalism when it comes to how this app is poorly built. It randomly works. If you are in an emergency situation, guaranteed you can NOT trust this app.

It doesn’t even have history or tracking of some sort which means they can pretty much steal your money any time. Really really shady business practice. Please do everyone a favor, use business ethics and hire real developers.

Horrible app, STAY AWAY

I added 2000 peso load and it won’t even allow me to pay for a data plan. And I can’t withdraw my funds either. Complete SCAM and app doesn’t even work
