Was good, glitchy now

This app used to be really good for everything, and it’s still alright but I’ve found that the last update has made the map glitch out frequently (i.e. buses disappearing, buses jumping backwards along routes etc). Again, not that big of an issue, app is still usable and timings are correct, just unable to actually track where the bus is.

Crashing on maps

App keeps crashing on maps when I click on a bus stop to view departures or track vehicles since the pairing with Apple Maps. Quite frustrating as I have to rely on the journey planner time tables but these aren’t accurate on my bus stop as half the buses on there never even show up!

Nfc prevents ticket scanning

This is a great app, but lately I cannot scan my ticket on a bus without my debit card popping up and covering the ticket on my iPhone screen. I don’t know what’s changed, but scanning my ticket in the app seems to depend on what the driver is doing with the machine and some drivers insist it’s my fault and I somehow need to “turn it off”, but I cannot find any option to do that anywhere on the phone. To me it does not seem secure to have my debit card coming up when I’m not making any kind of purchase and just want to scan my ticket.

Hello - as it's a complete new app you need to create a new account. You can do this by going to ‘Settings’, followed by ‘sign in’ and then ‘Create an account’. You can use any existing active tickets on the old app as normal, then get in touch to swap any other tickets over after that - gonortheast.co.uk/contact-us. Once you're up and running, we'd really appreciate it if you'd consider leaving us an updated review. Thanks.

Your app is rubbish after new update

Can’t scroll around the map as the app freezes whenever I try to move the area I’m viewing . Also the bus timing function doesn’t work properly

All of these issues were fixed in the previous version with the old maps . Come on guys this is a habit of your app . You update some functions and it breaks the app

This app made me me miss my mams death

My mother had stage 3 cancer I got a call from the hospital saying she was very I’ll I rely a lot on buses this app said it was 10 mins away then 7 then 5 and 3 then due and it never came I called the hospital and I staff came and picked me up but it was to late my mother died at 8:15 pm and I didn’t get to say I love you if the creator of this app was standing in front of me I would torture him in the worst way possible

Bus tracker and schedule are out of sync

The app says the bus has left, but the bus is actually a few mins late and because the departure schedule doesn’t track the actual busses I end up missing the bus regardless. This has happened on a few occasions. You can’t track a bus that has “departed” already so it’s even more difficult to know whether you have actually missed the bus or not

Hello - I'm sorry to hear that you've experienced this with the app. The live times that flash green should be counting down in real-time, and they should be very accurate as they update every 10 seconds. Have you also tried viewing the buses moving on the map? These also update every 10 seconds. Please let us know the details via email at hello@gonortheast.co.uk if you experience any further issues.

A vile abomination of everything mankind has achieved

Journey planner is possibly the worst feature i’ve ever seen, and the mobile ticket system makes student tickets require id for literally no reason other than to annoy me. plus you have to show them to the workers at each metro station you go to if you get a ticket that does both and they’re never not busy so you just feel like a bother. Also, the developer cuckolded me for seven years before i discovered the truth and i don’t think my son is mine.

Hi - I'm sorry to hear that you're not a fan of the app. We haven't had any complaints about the journey planner previously, so this seems an odd one - can you please e-mail us at hello@gonortheast.co.uk with full details so we can look into the issue you have with it? With regards to the 5 to 25 tickets, the verification process only needs to be done the first time, then you can use buy and use tickets right up until the eve of your 26th birthday without having to show ID each time.

For a new app, it doesn’t add much

To start the feedback screen is incredibly slow and doesn’t provide feedback that the submit button is working. Next is service updates aren’t used properly and actual updates like services being 45m late, short on drivers etc aren’t reported so you can’t reroute and instead have to phone GNE and press them for an answer. Buses being cancelled are still displayed in app when they shouldn’t. Oh and to top it off the ticket buying process was nicer on the old one as it allowed for a more visual way of showing the Zones.

Took my money, wouldn’t let me use ticket.

Bought a 5 to 25 day ticket on the app, it wouldnt let me use the ticket until they verified I was in fact under 25 on the app, which takes up to 48 hours. So the ticket I bought for today is absolutely useless. Why can’t I use the ticket and show my Id on the bus. This is ridiculous and they’ve took my £4.50 which I can’t get back.

Response from developer

Hello - thanks for your review. The app does warn that it'll take that long before a ticket is purchased, so we're sorry if this was missed. It only need to be done once and then once you're verified you can buy the discounted tickets until the eve of your 26th birthday.

The bus times are just random

I was waiting for the bus and it said that it was coming in a minute but the bus never arrived so I checked again and it said that the next bus was gonna be in half and hour so I just started walking home and when I checked again to see if it was definitely in half an hour there was one in 2 minutes so I had to run back to the bus stop. Make sure the bus times are correct.

Response from developer

Hi Rick - I'm sorry to hear that. As long as the live times are displayed in green and flashing, this means that they're 'live', so there shouldn't be a problem like this. Have you tried using the live map as well, as that'll show you exactly where the bus is? Please stick with us, and if this happens again please e-mail us at hello@gonortheast.co.uk with the details so we can look into it further.
