We only need to see your “Press ✅” warning once
The mattress pad is 5/5, but the app design is infuriating. It gives you a warning that, if you set it higher than 5/10 heat setting you have to press a physical button to make it stay on after an hour. Totally reasonable, could be a fire hazard otherwise. But it gives you the same warning, and makes you click “OK” EVERY TIME. I own the mattress pad, I’ve turned it on with my phone dozens of times, I know what the warning says. There should be some way to dismiss it permanently.
Update: Downgrading to 1 star because the app has stopped updating without force killing and restarting it. The mattress pad itself is still great but the app is trash.

Probably the worst app I’ve ever used
This app, used to control our king-sized mattress pad heater, is simply terrible. Most of the functions don’t work at all, and even the basic power on/off ability only works maybe 30% of the time. The buttons in the app don’t respond. The app rarely lets us select which side of the bed to control. The timer function doesn’t work at all; I’ll set it to run for an hour and eight hours later it’s still on, with the countdown on the timer still reading an hour. Mind you, I’m operating this in a room with a strong wi-fi signal and with my phone within a few feet of the control box. The app just doesn’t work.
I’d strongly recommend not buying this product and going with a mattress pad heater from a different company. I know I won’t ever buy a Sunbeam again.

Unable to save schedules on iPad mini 5
Title says it all. I could add and toggle on a schedule, but when I restart the app, all my schedules get wiped. The schedule list becomes empty. Luckily, I also have an old iPhone I rarely use, and I tried doing the same thing and my schedule stayed even after restarting it. Since both my devices share the same Sunbeam account, the schedule also transferred to my iPad app. I hope they fix this because I was ready to return the blanket, since the scheduling was one of the most important reasons I bought it. Until they fix it, you can try installing the app on another device, login to the same account and try saving a schedule there. You can also try using Alexa or Google Home to set a routine to turn on or off the blanket. If you're having similar issues as I did, I hope this was helpful and good luck!

Scheduling Function Issues
Scheduling function suddenly stopped working, I suspect after the last app update. I tried deleting and recreating schedules, deleting and recreating the device, deleting and reinstalling the app. Nothing helped… until I tried holding down the check button on the controller until the WiFi symbol started to flash (about 10 sec). Then I power-cycled the controller and set the device up like it was brand new. Then schedules started working again. We will see how long this fix lasts.

Schedule is flaky
Overall it’s a good app, works as expected, and is mostly easy to use. But when I set up a daily schedule, it didn’t work consistently. My schedule had one entry with both sides of the blanket on the same temp for an hour, followed by two entries for different temps on each side for the next hour. The first hour always worked reliably but the second hour usually would end up with both sides at the same temp, instead of at different ones as the schedule called for. It was unpredictable. Since there wasn’t much difference between the temps anyway, I just changed to a simpler schedule with only two “both sides” entries. The only other problem I’ve run into is that if I unplug the blanket, usually the schedules are erased. That’s dumb; if the blanket can’t save it then the app should instead.

Do not upgrade! They are now requiring your email address and a login!
When I originally purchased this product the app did not require an email address and login
It just worked
Now it makes you sign up with an email and they also don’t allow you to use Apple’s hidden email service either
What a joke

Was not able to connect to Eero WiFi 6
I’m a wireless network engineer and I have been trying to connect the Sunbeam WiFi blanket to my WiFi. I forced 2.4 GHZ, enabled legacy mode for devices that can’t connect to WiFi 6 routers. I did capture packets and couldn’t get this blanket to connect. At one point I was able to get it to connect to the wireless but the app wouldn’t recognize the connection. Found out it was a Toya WiFi device. Downloaded the Toya app and was able to connect the blanket within 30 seconds. Seems like the Toya app has the same functionality.

Loses schedule when unplugged
The app was a bit tricky to pair with the mattress pad the first time, complaining that Bluetooth was off when it was not, but after that it worked fine. It was pretty easy to set up schedules and they worked reliably. But when I had to unplug the pad briefly, when I plugged it back in, even though the app could still control it, all of my schedules had disappeared.

Pairing is a pain
Getting this to pair with my mattress pad was fiddly. Even though my Bluetooth was on, it kept saying it was off (or maybe the message about Bluetooth is just badly worded and it was only intended to be a reminder). Then when I got past that, I got a timeout error. But after a couple of tries I got everything going, and the rest of the app is pretty simple. Only other bug I noticed is that although I could select a time in AM/PM format, once the schedule is set up, it uses 24 hour format.
