Too proprietary
Really makes it difficult to control other routers or range extenders on your network. It’s not very feature rich for people who understand router settings. Wish I could adjust channels and power, wish I could block sites permanently from the alert display instead of only allowing them. Would be nice to have nat settings available. Would be nice if you could access setting on devices you plug into the extenders, instead of them taking control of the device fully.

App not working
The app was great at first and now for about a week it won’t even open I’ve deleted it and reinstalled it and nothing. Garbage just like fidium
Recent update broken
I was excited to see the improvements in the release notes, but ever since I updated all that pulls up is a blank screen. That was 6 days ago. I’ve tried from multiple devices, and tried force closing the app, all to no avail. There’s no way to access any of the settings through a web browser so please fix the app.

Technical support is non existent
My service was down for an extended time today. Third to get through to tech support multiple times, was hung up on by an automated message one time and kept on hold for over 45 minutes the other attempts. I never was able to get through, and when I followed the prompt to hit ‘Star’ for a callback nothing happened. If I could have given this zero stars I would have, I am seriously considering cancelling my service after this experience.

SUPER FAST! Way better than cable.
FIDIUM uses fiber optics which means you have a dedicated line to your house. Super fast connectivity and reliable signal versus cable. Night and day change!!
Spectrum cable uses coaxial cables which means you share with all your neighbors and likewise get throttled back if it’s a busy time. Do you ever see a spinning circle? Pixelated screens? Won’t connect? No internet found? I had all of that. Thought it was my router. Nope. Thought my phone was to blame. Not true. It was the service!
Spectrum cable uses outdated technology which results in subpar connectivity and speed. It’s super expensive and unreliable. Some apps will require you to “connect to a service provider” so you shouldn’t ditch it all together. However, Fidium is far and away superior. Highly recommend 👏😎

The network is always going offline
The network is always going offline; I did not have this much problem with AT&T or others. Not sure what is going on. I recently started with Fidium but it practically goes offline at least once a day.
Their needs to be a phone number verification
Fidium Fiber you need to add a phone number verification for when you log in to your account. I have been trying to get into my account for 2 weeks. I am answering my music question right and it’s saying it’s wrong. I don’t understand why I have to go though this whole verification process just to sign in. If you just had a phone number verification or something it would be way easier. Can someone fix the verification process? Their needs to be somewhere in the app you can change your number to

Useless and buggy app
Interface often freezes up and sometimes requires an app restart. Bandwidth usage reporting is a joke. Apparently a laptop sitting idle on gmail can download 50GB in 15 minutes (that is over 3Gbps even though we only have a 1Gbps connection). The parental controls are also very lacking in options. For example, there is no equivalent of a timeout (eg if you want to give a device a 30-minute window to access the internet, it isn’t possible — you can only unfreeze for the day, then re-freeze the device at a later point). I could go on and on… simply put, it is your everyday garbage app designed for the masses.

Two stars so far
One week in and service has been interrupted twice (that I have noticed). If this keeps up I’ll have to cancel, sadly. Price is low but may not be worth it. Maybe they will work out the kinks…
