Game within a game to move on in the game
The game is fun, makes you think and feel like a detective. My only problem with the game is not even the ads, it’s the fact that you download a detective game and a mark the square game but in order to move on you need keys and the only way to get keys is playing a game within the game that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the game you downloaded. And that is not even the worst part, you end up playing this game more than the actual check the box game because you need 30,000 points in order to move on to the next level, which is near impossible to do by playing that game once. So it is more you downloaded this game and the check the box is an add on to the game.
Chapter 2 requires 30 keys in order for you to open it. So in order for you to get 1 key you need 100 points in a like-Tetris-game. They give you 3 shapes and you need to place them on the board. You need to complete a square or a line to get some points, you also do get some points by placing the shape in the board but the points are so minimum you don’t get to too 100 easily. Not only that but chapter 3 uses 40 keys and they don’t add up. So after you get the 30 keys, meaning 30,000 points you need to get 40,000 for the chapter 3.Show lessDragon tales94
Neat story but needs some fixes
The story is interesting and well presented.
There are quite a few mistakes in the clues sporadically. Level 24 for example clue mentions a hot dog at lunch but marking this is given an error.
A bit more QA in the clues would be good. Otherwise it’s fun and interesting.PJ1004
Good game but some puzzles are impossible
I love logic puzzles like this and I think this app does really well. The only thing that makes it hard is sometimes there aren’t enough clues to finish the puzzle. I don’t know how the puzzles are created but it seems as if every now and then a puzzle gives you just not enough hints so you have to watch an ad to get it right which is frustrating. I’d like it a lot better if the puzzles were checked if they can be done with just the clues, not getting ad help.Show lessmollybunni
NEW DETECTIVE STORIES PLEASE
I really do love this game but I couldn’t justify more than a 3 star rating for 3 reasons. One, sometimes the clues make no sense (because of the wording or not enough detail given) or are contradictive, and this is incredibly annoying at times. Two, I hate how the iPhone app is different than the iPad app. iPhone has that stupid section where you have to play a Tetris like game to unlock keys to play more levels. I didn’t download this and pay for add free to play a stacking game. If I wanted that, I would’ve downloaded that. Your progress between iPad and iPhone doesn’t sync either, so you’re redoing puzzles all the time essentially. Three, WE NEED NEW DETECTIVE STORIES!! You’re given around 2 days to complete one, before it expires and the next one starts. You can also watch an ad to extend the one you’re on, or to skip ahead to the next one. But there are only 2 separate stories, so there’s really no point trying to skip ahead or drag one out, because you’ll see it again in 2 days anyway! Why have it time limit on it if you’re only giving us the same 2 anyway? Like I said, I really do enjoy this game but it’s continuing play ability is wearing out since it’s just repeating itself. Poor translations
I love logic puzzles like these but one of the most important parts of those logic puzzles is comprehensive clues. The most recent event feels like it was put through google translate, it is such a mess. Running your clues past a copyeditor of some kind with a good grasp of English would help a lot.
The ads are never-ending— on average one in between every puzzle you complete (which is fairly quick back to back because the puzzles in this app are not complex at all)— and I can find a way to tolerate it when I can at least move on to the next puzzle. However, when the word salad clues inevitably lead to me failing a puzzle, I am presented with two options: Restart or Erase Mistakes (watch an ad). I have learned that, of course, it doesn’t matter which you click on because you will be shown an ac regardless. It makes it frustrating to try and see if you can solve the nonsense puzzles when you know that you’re just going to get another overly intrusive ad shoved in your face.
Also, the current event is weirdly aggressive? The storyline is a popular girl is trying to get a more plain girl a date but she’s so incredibly hostile. I’m not expecting all sunshine and rainbows but she calls the normal girl a half-wit, a cow, and the like. Maybe it is another thing that got lost in some kind of translation but that is a level of callous that isn’t really funny. It’s just off-putting.Show lessManSeriously
Excellent game but too many Ads
The game is excellent. I love playing puzzle games. The issue is i paid $7.99 to get rid of the ads and still Ada are coming up. Only when i move from one level to another level, the Ads doesn't show up. What’s the point of paying when i have to face the annoying Ads.🙁Sabrina 889
Great game, easily takes up hours of downtime!
This game is fantastic. I love the layout and general play of the app - a design I haven’t quite been able to replicate in other logic puzzle apps. The game starts off easy and honestly becomes incredibly challenging at points but after playing for a while and getting better you learn the mistakes you are making and ways to correct them. All levels are definitely 100% completable without needing to use any hints/watch any ads it can just take a lot of time, effort and practice but if you enjoy these puzzles then it’s definitely worth it to improve your skills. The game is also entirely free - there is no sneaky way it tries to take money by needing ‘coins’ to complete a level for example, the game does not have a feature like that. Ads come up between each game but are short and reasonable and can be avoided if playing without internet connection.
I have found one level where the clues are quite incorrect giving the exact opposite clue to what is needed but this is the only occurrence (I believe it’s on a hard or normal level in a story about flight departures and destinations) but other than this all puzzles are really well put together. My only complaint is that I’ve played this game so much that I’ve now completed all levels available! Please add more I love playing this game in my spare time!Show lessTrin_Haines
So many ads
i understand that apps need ads but why so many? once you complete the level you must watch an ad, then! only you move onto the next, another ad pops up. they aren’t short ads either and most of the time they send me to the app store to see it!!! not good enough! fun game but really frustratingCaity$
OMG the ads are out of control
I watched an ad to start playing. I played one simple game but had to watch an ad to start another. Fair enough. The ad wasn’t short, but I get it. When it was finally over, it prompted me to start a new game. But first…an ad! A really long ad. So I am back and it prompts me to play an “event”. Mind you, I have not even played a second game yet. So I take the bait and you guessed it..an ad. Then it says “this event is over” and prompts me to “start another event” so I do…..and another ad. I finally get to the point where I can read the scenario and as soon as I try to get clues, ANOTHER FREAKING AD!!! So I have wasted all this time watching ads that never seem to end and I was only able to play one game before I was frustrated enough to leave a review. It doesn’t even give the option to skip the ads after 5 or 10 seconds. I’m stuck watching a one minute ad that then “pretends” that you can X out, but it takes you to the download page, then back to another ad and another ad. It’s crap. Unplayable due to ads
This game could be great fun, unfortunately it’s unplayable due to the sheer about of ads, absolutely ridiculous, the only way to play this game for even a single level is to disconnect from internet.Shulee999
