  • COULD be great

This game could be great, but often there truly isn’t enough information to complete a puzzle, clues are incorrect, leading to incorrect answers; e.g. Level 108 normal “Bertram saved 10 princesses but the troubadours are silent on this matter” - firstly, ridiculously irrelevant information is included and secondly the name and number are clear but the correct click was marked wrong. This issue increases as you increase in levels it seems. Ultimately one has to either keep guessing and then watch ads to skip levels or get extra turns. It’s not well put together at all. At first I liked the stories (which are another game play option), but I’ve had the app for months and have only seen 2 different ones. I keep being prompted to start a new one and it’s either same as the last or the one before. Same with the cases; there has been only one set in over six months. The format/idea is great but it’s not well executed or edited/checked, which really takes the fun out of it.

  • Repeating events…adverts 3hen you paid for no adrte

Started this game and really enjoyed it even paid so I don’t get adverts. Seems a bit of a con as it seems no matter what you do you still have to get an advert. Didn’t finish the event 3rd time now I’ve selected to move to a new story and again another advert but it starts me all over again. I’m for supporting developers by paying for no adverts but when you still get adverts no matter what feels like been taken for a ride. Game itsel is great just the adverts ruin it if you wish to progress why low score. Keeps giving adverts when not prompted. Feeling lied to. Game is enjoyable if only they fix this issue

  • Enjoyable but still needs work.

I enjoy the content but you still need much more especially in the higher levels. I’ve completed every level and case so currently out of content.
I got very excited during your last event, however my phone glitched during the advert after completing the first puzzle so I wasn't able to watch it. This left me stuck on the first puzzle for the whole event with no way of resetting it.
I like the update where you can tick completed clues, this is helpful.
    Please add more content though.

  • Not giving awards anymore

I downloaded this game obviously from seeing an ad through something else online. I thought this would be a good way to help me build brain strength again. But I have noticed in the harder levels some clues don’t make sense. The clues are mixed up and the words are confusing, they don’t match the check boxes. No matter how many times you read them and have someone else read them and answer it, the system says it’s wrong. I finally had to keep skipping all of those games. Then there must have been an update because afterward you could actually win a level and you would win awards for free hints then about a week later that stopped and never came back. I don’t get any awards with my wins anymore. Another issue is that this game has way to many ads you have to watch between games, if you need to get a free hint or even when I was winning free skips I was having to watch ads. To check to see if you have anything wrong on the board, another long ad. Other than the awards going away, the long ads, and someone who doesn’t really know how to word clues while linking them to the game board the game is actually pretty cool.

  • Good exercise for my brain

As a few others have remarked, some of the clues are pretty vague and I have to do it wrong once a twice and then remember “oh that’s what they mean!” Additionally I really really enjoyed the detective series but there’s only one? I was so excited when I finally finished everything. Then when it said there was a detective series I clicked on it and it was the same one. Going through it over and over again does give me hints (and sometimes I need them) but it doesn’t really provide a lot of challenge because it’s the same story I read before. Otherwise it’s a great game. Oh, as an older person with poor eyesight, who is not always able to hit the little squares, I really like that you can expand the grids and move them around. I think I played it for about three months before I figured that out, lol.

  • It’s…alright😒

So I gave it a three because it really only has the same pattern when you play it. And so some other reviews that I read said it was too short and too many adds, and the normal stuff people put in reviews. There are adds and they aren’t that long just don’t put so many ya know? And also something to could do, is when you first get into the game there is a tutorial, and some people already know how to do stuff like these games. I just wanna say maybe add like a “exit tutorial” button to press to end the tutorial. Overall it’s “ok” I mean the game is good, and also maybe make the story’s more… EXCITING! So that when people have a small case to solve just make it exciting. Instead of doing dog story’s, of like how many dogs people have😃 But I have my own opinion, that’s just what ī think of it! So I would recommend reading this before getting the app, ANY review before getting the app, if you are adhd or something that can’t handle like waiting!

Side note: just telling the problems of the game for me not a hate review if the creator reads this and thinks that🙃

  • Could be wayyyyyy better.

Some of the clues repeat themselves, I don’t need two different clues that give me the same result… each clue should further help your progress. Sometimes the clues are poorly worded and it’s hard to tell what it means (is it an either/or situation, or both/neither situation?) Some clues include jargon that a person that knows nothing about the category would know nothing about (example: if it’s a soccer puzzle it’ll include a clue that has soccer lingo in which only people who know about soccer would know about) keep clues simple so everyone has a fair chance.

My biggest problems with this game are the cases and detective stories!!! I think the cases should update weekly so you can get new cases with that, once you finish the cases part that’s literally it. Also, the detective stories is really primitive considering it’s the same story every. Single. TIME! They claim “a new detective story” every two days, but every time it ends, the next one is always the same one. Please give us new stories to solve every two days.

If the detective stories and cases were updated and gave us more gameplay and different logic puzzles that followed a storyline. This app would be nearly perfect. Overall it’s still enjoyable, the ads are annoying and jump in at inconvenient times but even if you don’t pay to have them removed it’s not a dealbreaker.

  • Good Game

Unlike most games, this one is as challenging as you want it to be. Pros: it’s addicting and fun. You can play whatever difficulty sets you like. It’s rewarding to get the puzzles right. Cons: lots of ads, and you can pay $5.44 (with tax) to “remove ads” but it still forces you to watch a 30 second ad if you want to check for errors. Personally, if I pay almost $6 for a phone game, I don’t want any ads. So that’s frustrating. The grammar used in the hints isn’t always correct, so it’s unclear what is being hinted at. One mission in the detective game (second one, about a piece of gravel) I think was bugged. There wasn’t enough clues, and one of the clues was just wrong (it said one thing, but it was wrong on the chart). Other than that, it’s a great game. Remove all the ads if you pay the $5.44!!

  • It’s just okay

I enjoy the game and the satisfaction of figuring it out, but it can get kind of boring. The parts that are most interesting to me, are the parts where there is a plot line to the puzzles you are solving that leads up to one big discovery.
There are two options for this, either the case load tab or the detective events that last a couple days. Those were fun at first, but after I finished the case load, no new case replaced it and now that option is just done. With the detective event, it’s the exact same storyline used each time so you already know the outcome of the mystery and what the answers to the puzzles are.
The one time it was a different story, the app glitched so that way I couldn’t play it. When it did let me click to play it, however, it was one of the puzzles from either an already played level, or the other detective story that is usually there. So it wasn’t really playable at all.
The app feels aimless when all you can do are the random one-off levels with no bigger objective in mind.

  • Insane amount of ads and no new stories

I get that apps need ads to support them. However, each ad (which appear after each level) take no less than 3 clicks to close them. It feels like I’m clicking to close ads more than I’m clicking on the game. Next, there are no new ‘Detective Stories’. There’s a story about a mayors kid getting kidnapped - solving the 3 levels earns you ‘hints’ to use if you get stuck. Once you complete all 3 levels you have to wait until the timer resets and you can play the next story. BUT, there is no new story. It’s the same story over and over, and the same puzzles over and over. I don’t play it anymore because I don’t like to use hints so I don’t need to play it, and after you’ve played the whole story a couple of times you remember the cross logic and it’s not a challenge. Seems like this is a game that’s fun to play and meant to end and be deleted. I have a few more ‘impossible’ levels to finish (based on the number of levels people have referenced here) and then I will delete.
