  • Good app

I love the app and everything very useful but I’m just waiting for the mobile fare because it will help a lot because not everyone can go to a gas station or a transit to get bus passes
  • There is no real-time tracking, app is worthless

Three times in the last two weeks I’ve used this app to see when a bus will arrive at a stop I am at. The scheduled time passes, no bus shows up and no other information is available. Sometimes two busses vanish Customer service says they can’t track the bus either. So either the GPS is so regularly faulty as to be worthless or the drivers are turning it off when they do not feel like driving their routes.

Unfortunately, when a there is a missed or cancelled trip it can not be indicated on the app right now, it will continue to be labeled “scheduled.” You can click on the moving dots for upcoming trip times to see when your bus will arrive.
  • Honest review

This app will make your life easier if you like to ride the bus gives you the location of the bus and the time stamps give this app a try 100% worth it!!
  • No longer working

It was working just fine for me for a few weeks and now all of a sudden, it’s not working at all. I made no settings changes. I will try to delete and reinstall the app. Maybe that will help.
  • Use Google Maps Instead!

Save yourself the hassle and use google maps instead for planning your route! This app does not show all available options to get to your destination. (Nor does thier own website for that matter!) with google maps I was able to find a quick and easy trip. The Valley Metro app and website are buggy.

  • Trains in both directions

    Dear Valley Metro,
Please fix your app. If I touch on a station I want to see trains in both directions. Not just east bound.

    Sincerely,
    West Bound Rider
  • Better than RideKick

Love the live location of buses.
  • Too Little, Too Late

Valley Metro has a history of stubbornly doing things its own way rather than following best practices in the industry. For years, it has dragged its feet about releasing real-time bus and train location data. With this app, that has finally changed, but the agency is still behind where it should be with respect to data sharing and transparency. The real-time data is helpful when it actually appears, but in my experience it is not uncommon for a “location not available” message to appear when a specific bus is selected. Even when the data is available, there are significant usability issues with this app. If a user pulls up scheduled arrivals for a specific location and then looks to see where a specific bus or train is currently situated, there is then no easy or intuitive way to return to the original list of scheduled service. Finally, I’d prefer not to have to download and install yet another app when both Google and Apple Maps already do a better job of displaying transit information. Valley Metro should focus its efforts on sharing real-time data with established third-party apps rather than creating its own product.

We understand your frustration and the delay in technology, but the reason Valley Metro created their own app was to introduce mobile fare tickets in upcoming versions. We wanted to give riders the technology we have now which includes trip planning and real-time vehicle tracking. We are looking forward to mobile fare in the next year and creating even more enhancements for our riders. You can also access our open data feed by visiting https://phoenixopendata.com/.
  • Useless

The buses are always late or never arrive so this app is useless
  • Needs iPad version.

Honestly, why is every transit app I download designed for iPhone and not for iPad? At least use the screen realstate of the big screen. Google maps accomplished this just fine.
