Thank goodness that this app is around………. Now …….. at the height of my transit ridding days I could have definitely used this!!! In the 1997 to 2010 …….. now it’s a breeze to know when a train or bus is coming thank goodness…….. I would have given this app more stars if I was able to
  • No registration

While I love being able to pay for my pass on the app, I shouldn’t have to register just for a single or day pass. The app should be able to store the info without requiring a full registration process. If only 1 pass is purchased & activated at a time, the lack of a registration process is worth the minimal risk to losing the pass if the app gets screwed up. This is especially true for visitors who need the most frictionless process to choose transit over private vehicles, which is already an undesirable choice to access most of Phoenix.

  • This app Could be so much better!!

Why is there no option to purchase more than a 1 day and/or 1 fare pass?!? And why don’t I get a choice to choose Full fare or discounted fare price?!? App only does what it needs, to an extent. Delays and cancellations aren’t updated immediately or at all sometimes, which can put riders stuck for hours if it’s the last bus. You can always count on a cancellation or an early or late bus no matter where you go, and you’ll never know in time to make concessions.

Thank you for using the mobile app and our new mobile fare. In the future, we will have more options as we introduce new phases of the program. To received Reduced Fare in the app, you would need to register and then be confirmed as eligible. You can learn more here: https://www.valleymetro.org/fares/reduced-fare-program. As far as real time tracking, we are continuing to work on ensuring that the feed provides best possible information. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work on this. Also, please note that we are still working to hire bus operators so that every trip arrives as scheduled. We apologize for this inconvenience in your travels.
  • Near perfect, one more thing

This app is wonderful, especially with the ability for Apple Pay. Only thing I now would like is the option to add my passes into Apple Wallet so I can access them with the Wallet app.
  • Thanks Valley Metro!

I have been using the app to go to the Phoenix Veterans Hospital for several years. It has been very helpful.
  • Easy

It was easy to set up an account but I wish they texted an number vs email. We stayed out by the air port about a 3 min. walk to the train. We used Apple Maps. Train was clean and not crowded. It is easy to buy tickets. I would be nice if you could buy senior tickets online but $2 vs $1 is no big deal. You need to enlarge the QR code image to get the reader to read it.

  • Valley Metro stole my pass from my iphone

I purchased a mobile fare pass on Feb 1, 2023 and it displayed on my iphone. On Feb 8, I opened the app to use the mobile fare for the first time ever. The pass wasnt there. I tried to sign in but it told me that “device limit reached”, and wouldnt allow me to sign in. I emailed Valley Metro but got no response, so I notified the credit card company who quickly got me a refund. This was the 2nd time the app wouldnt let me sign in due to “device limit reached”. If Valley Metro cant fix the issue then I just wont use the mobile fare at all.

    Developer Response

We apologize for all of the inconveniences that you've experienced with the mobile fare on the Valley Metro app. If you could let us know if you have a ticket number from Customer Service or reach out again to Customer Service at 602.253.5000 or by emailing csr@valleymetro.org. According to our FAQs on the mobile app, you can only be logged into one device at a time and there is a limit to the number of times you can transfer your account to a new device. Hope that is helpful.
