Can’t buy a fare in this app?
Valley metro website says: “the app will introduce mobile fare payment in 2022. Riders will be able to create an account and pay for transit fares directly from their phone.”
Yet there is no way to buy a pass on this app? Without that option, what is the point of this? Especially since the card readers never work at the actual stops.Show lessGuymontag96

Worthless app
This app is basically useless. The schedules are not accurate, the trip planner does not give proper directions between locations and you cannot pay on the app. All you can use this app for is to locate a bus, train or station and even this is suspect given the inaccuracy of the schedules. This app is proof Phoenix is a drive around metro area not prepared for mass public transit.Show lessctodd216826
Authentication issues
App tries to send an email validation code via email. That comes through, but the app won’t accept it… Then, you’ll be told your username is wrong.
Finally was able to get signed in only to find it’s utterly pointless. No way to pay for a ride. Also, no SSO or saved credentials using FaceID. How can this be so backward?
Want to know when the next train will show up at your stop? Hahah. Well, they have led signs that won’t tell you— they tell you to check NextRide. WHY!? Would it be SO HARD to say next W bound train: 4 min ? Has anyone at VM every visited a city with actual transit!?

Not really live tracking & cannot pay fares
While the app promises live tracking, that’s not really the case. When you first try to track a bus, it will show the current location but it does not autoupdate or actually track the bus. Bus will show as on time until it’s already passed the bus stop early, then will update & say it was early. Manual refresh is even difficult as you have to redo the entire search for it to try to find the bus again.
There’s also no way to pay your fare in the app, which is pretty ridiculous it being 2022…Show lessstormtracker9

I wanted so badly to like this.
Getting right down to it: the real time tracker is incredibly unreliable. Being great when it works is less useful when it works so infrequently. It also randomly loses your trips and it’s ability to find trips. You are much better off just using Google Maps to plan your trips, then double check it on an actual computer with Valley Metro (if you really think it’s necessary). I’m sticking with Google Maps myself. And deleting this app from my phone.Show lessKozmikMike
