Sena App Completely Useless
This app is dreadful, followed very closely by the utter incompetence of the ‘help desk’ which consists of asking you to carry out the same functions you have been doing all along, but with zero success. For the cost of these helmets, I am utterly disgusted in how Sena believe that their product is fit for purpose…avoid at all costs. It’s easier to use two paper cups with string in between, held by one hand, whilst riding the bike with the other….
I’m trying my best to get a refund for this helmet, but it’s easier to play fog. Instead, I’m just in a loop to repeat, scream, email Sena, repeat…it’s a tedious task - save yourself the hassle and buy another, more reputable brand of helmet and leave these jokers to pat themselves on the back in their belief that their helmet is brilliant…it is not. It’s deserving of the bin, after smacking it off the heads of the idiots who designed the firmware, app and interface for both…what a load of hoop.

Does not connect with my Sena 10S
Hi I am trying to connect my Sena 10 to Sena Motorcycle app for iOS and it keeps on showing me a message “let’s get your device connected” while the device is already connected and I can make calls and listen to music.
I want to use the app as it offers pairing with other headsets / riders and better UI.
Can you pls help and share some guidance on why my Sena 10S does not work with sena motorcycle app

Worthless app
For as much as i paid for my sena mesh system you would think it would be easy to update.
Nothing work on this app. The firmware cannot be updated, i have tried every single method available to me and it will not work. Constantly disconnect from the wifi. Just worthless.
For what you charge people you need to do better.
No excuse for such terrible work.

Sena apps and intercoms given a start is generous
App is a waste of time and frustration. It does not sync with my intercom nor does seems responding. After hrs of restoring deleting and restoring again app isn’t responding on my iPhone 14.

The most frustrating app. Tried to connect to device manager with no joy. Carried out factory reset. Still no joy. Waste of my valuable time. 20S is not a cheap unit, so expect better from Sena. Just given up!

It appears they have removed the “required” access to the other things they shouldn’t have asked for access to in the first place. Now, appropriately, only Bluetooth is required and the others are optional. Thank you developers, for finally listening to reason!
That said the app is just fine for what we need it for. It works with my headset.

The only thing this app should require is a Bluetooth connection. There is no reason to *require* access to the camera, music, or local network. The local network access is *never* needed for an app like this, why you request it is beyond me. If I don’t want to use your app to control my music you don’t need access to my music player and library. Should be an optional choice. If I don’t want to use the camera to pair other headsets then the camera is also an optional choice. But no. You *require* all 4 unconditionally - just to let people who bought your expensive headsets change their headset settings. All that needs is Bluetoothd the . Make the others optional.

Not Bad
Once you get it working, it really works. Negative reviews I assume are from technology illiterate users. Although I do agree that it could be a bit tricky connecting with other brands. But connecting with other Sena users is very straightforward.
Truly dreadful
Currently struggling through non existent instructions trying to use the app to upgrade my 50r to the correct firmware before using it. Completely counterintuitive and genuinely dreadful experience. For this sort of money Sena hang your heads in shame.
UPDATE: after having the intercom for a couple of months it’s apparent that SENA have zero regard for their customers. Avoid at all costs. The United now randomly turn off and a short google search will show this is happening to lots of people. SENA have now simply ignored the growing clamour for a fix. Even if they released one the app is so dysfunctional I’d be unable to install it

The recent updates made the app terrible
I fail to understand why Sena needs access to my photos for the app to work especially when I do not have a camera on my headset. I would like a refund on the Sena headset. This is a really good example of decent hardware being let down by terrible software. I would caution anyway against buying Sena products while they have this cavalier attitude towards privacy.

Terrible experience
Not at all intuitive.
Sena 50s instructions are terrible.
Very erratic performance and not consistent at all.
Do not have high expectations for this app and be prepared to figure out most of the stuff on your own.
For what these units cost, a lot more effort should be put into making the app much more user friendly.
