Rode central is dysfunctional disposing if!
Updated the firmware per instructions. The iOS Sustem recognised a device had been attached. But couldn’t connect as a microphone or as a Rode app recognised device.
Clearly someone is failing to do basic app maintenance.
Meanwhile on the desktop Mac m1, Sonoma the system doesn’t recognise the device as a mic input, or does the app facilitate this.
So much for being IOS ready. Clearly the firmware fails to complete what ever handshakes are required for either mode of using the The rode Go II tx as a sound source via usb.
I can download files vi the desktop but that is about all that can be achieved. Ohh and I can check battery levels on the deaktop.
But lol I get in the IOS Rode Central app is a Demand! that I connect a Rode device.
Which is problematic when I have tried every possible button press, and usb-c cables at at my disposal. All of which are known good USB 3.x cables, (nd one Thunderbolt/ USB4 cable for good measure.
Basically my dream of using in conjunction with a camera app on my iPad has. Rumbled to ruins.

Transmitter won’t connect either
The service after buying is good, they send me a new one. But the new one just like the old one, the transmitter won’t connect. And both of them, I barely even use it, I haven’t used them make one full video. 😂
How to access 32-bit float files WITHOUT RØDE Central App
This app does what it says on the tin (and does it well), but the iOS and iPadOS apps are second-class citizens when it comes to accessing the gorgeous 32-bit float audio files backed up on the RØDE Wireless PRO transmitters.
These are readily available when the transmitters are in the Wireless Pro charging case and connected to a Mac or Windows computer running the desktop version of RØDE Central, but Apple mobile users are S.O.L. in getting to these hugely flexible files.
The Pro Tip that I discovered: if you BOOT (turn on from being completely powered off) your iPad or iPhone running the current OS (I’m on 18.1.1.at the moment) with the the Wireless Pro transmitters in their charging case connected via the *Røde original cable*, then the transmitters show up in the Files app sidebar as connected devices.
Easy peasy.
They’re read-only volumes, so you can't write to them, add tags (e.g. to denote already saved) or erase audio files from the transmitters, but most importantly you *can* copy them to your iPad or iPhone to use them independently or with related video files.
This turns the tiny Wireless PRO transmitters into hugely convenient field recorders, either with their internal microphones or any external ones whether they need Plug In Power or not. With an inexpensive Røde 3.5 mm-to-XLR adaptor, you can use professional dynamic mics. With an admittedly bulky Phantom Power adaptor containing a battery, you can even use condenser microphones.
So RØDE needs to up their game to give iPad and iPhone users all the abilities of the desktop RØDE Central applications, but for now we have a workaround.
Please mark this review as Helpful if you find this tip to be… umm… helpful :)
CAUTION: I am *not* going to have internet access on while running the RØDE Central App, until they make access to transmitter files a standard feature as it is in the desktop versions. I don’t want the app “phoning home” and updating itself or the transmitters’ firmware such that I lose access to the 32-bit float audio via Apple’s Files app.

Doesn’t work which is a shame cause I bought the wireless me microphones to pair with my iPhone. All a bit useless now…..
Wireless ME mics
Bought the mics with all necessary cables. Plugged into iPhone 15 pro and updated firmware easily. Used the app to turn on the receiver extra mic. Green leds everywhere. Happy days. Using mics with proper video camera not phone or tablet.
Limited support for Rode Wireless Pro and no support 32-bit float features.
Disappointed that I am not able to access the internal 32-bit float recordings stored on my Rode Wireless Pro system. Makes this flagship feature pretty useless.
Not iOS ready as advertised
With key missing functionality like the ability to download files in iOS Rode Mobile, this is VERY limited in use! Considering the proliferation of mobile devices like iPad Pro, not being able to get your files off the device with the mobile app makes this app almost useless.
No file management. Why?
In a world where mobile devices are used so much, and options to create content via mobile are numerous, why is Rode choosing to not support FULL mobile access to recordings? You are choosing to help customers go with a competitor that does support iOS Apps for recording file management. I purchased Wireless Pro intending to use my iPad Pro for creating content only Rode Mobile App doesn’t support download of recordings. It’s advertised as supporting mobile devices. Very Misleading. I wish I could return!!
