  • Addictive Puzzels

What a nice game .. simple .. nice sound effects and well designed puzzles .. Thanks to all the designers and developers! 👍🏼
  • Pocket with lots of value

This is the first app game that I truly enjoy. I always wanted to get good at chess but dont have the one hour time to play (still takes me an hour since i process slow). Playing this has made me love chess way more that i thought!
I paid the $5 to get rid of the ads, game changer.
  • Some puzzles make no sense

Multiple puzzles represent a disregard for basic chess theory. For example, a recent mate-in-two puzzle required me to blunder a white rook on a square where it would, under any normal circumstance, be taken by a non-pinned black bishop. But instead of that move, black king takes rook, setting up mate in one.

Because this a move that no player (or AI , for that matter) should ever play, it is nearly impossible for the puzzle solver to foresee. Puzzles should reward good visualization, not trivialize it.

  • A resolute Endeavour - with a continuous stream of Ads.

Initially, having played chess for many years, I was intrigued with the idea of pocket puzzles that would challenge, to some degree my tactical chess skills. However, my only real concern with the app would be the consistent bombardment of ads that re - appear after a set of completed puzzles.
  • Puzzles don’t make sense plus way too many ads

Overall some puzzles have been fun, but I just came up on a puzzle where I have two bishops on white squares. And sometimes the computer has a scripted move which is a blunder. If a puzzle only works if the enemy blunders then it makes it less fun. Once you get pretty high on the puzzle number the solutions begin to repeat too which makes ads more painful since it wasn’t even a new puzzle.

  • One minor feature missing…

Just downloaded the app. It seems like a great way to learn mating patterns. However, when a puzzle is solved, it would be nice to be able to replay the puzzle immediately without having to exit to the puzzle board and reselect the puzzle again. In other words, a “repeat” button of sorts would be nice.

  • Fun and challenging

It’s fun and challenging and a bit counterintuitive at times because your opponent moves not to win but to prevent you from winning— the response sometimes makes no sense apart from preventing checkmate in two moves. Some rounds seem utterly impossible and it’s frustrating to know that you can get a checkmate in only two moves but it’s still very hard to see the path to get there. This is a great way to hone your game and learn to play outside the box.

  • Ok game

Ads are kinda invasive and annoying but that’s to be expected on a free game. Most of the puzzles are pretty good and help you see potential mates, but the AI you’re playing against on some levels doesn’t make sense. Like if you were playing against a better player or AI, they would move differently and not let you mate them in 2 moves, making those levels not as helpful for getting better

  • One of the best at what it does

I have always felt that chess is about exposing yourself to logical thinking and sound tactics. This app helps you develop both. In no way is this app going to make you a GM Magnus Carlsen. However, if you use this app along with some good books and plenty of practice games with real people (not some computer) you can be certain that you are well on your way.

  • Great distraction !!

I have enjoyed this app!! If you like chess, I think you will like this. Once you get to the mate in 3 or 4 scenarios makes it very interesting/challenging. If you think the idea of mental energy is not relevant it would be interesting to get an average time the scenarios are solved at different times of the day. In the morning, I feel that I solve problems faster than late afternoon or the evening. Feedback would be awesome. Anyway, love the app!!
