Great great driving app!
This app has really helped my driving. I never realized how much I hard brake. It’s helped that a lot. Also keeps me off my phone completely when I drive. Really enjoy the way you can earn money/points as a good way to improve your driving and motivate you to drive better.terrillb68

This is a good way to measure a drivers ability to drive in a safe way, however the category that doesn’t make a lot of sense to me is the Braking category. Often a good defensive driver needs to brake hard due to other poor drivers. I was also dinged in the app for braking on a trip that I needed to stop abruptly for a deer crossing the road unexpectedly. Had I not hit the brakes hard, I would have damaged my ride and killed the deer. A claim is what avoided for you. That is my only complaint, otherwise I am impressed with the technology. This app compared to a competitors is much easier to navigate, see your performance and do better. The progressing rewards are better too. Haven’t finished a billing period yet to see a discount amount yet but it looks promising.BrailerBag

This app helps me to keep driving safely at top of mind each time I get in the car to drive. Only thing is that I had to break because someone ran a red light and almost t-boned me and I avoided an accident, but got penalized for braking. 🤔Webby2000!
Rewards
The app gives me a little angst while driving, especially when it records things that didn’t happen and misses trips.
The rewards are a little messed up . I should have like to know before hand exactly how they worked.Marblehead100
Some shortcomings
Does some good analysis but some pretty serious shortcomings mar it. For instance, it often shows me distracted because my wife is usually with me and she’s the one handling messages on my phone, not me. There is no way to tell the app that.
Then imagine my astonishment when we went to Europe and the app showed me as driver on all the crazy Uber rides. There is a way to change that but I would never have thought to check had not my wife checked first. So beware!Show lessJon M.

Thanks for your review, John. We’re working on new labels for when a passenger is using your phone while you’re driving but for now, you may use the label ‘Other’ for these trips. As for trips where you are a passenger, use the ‘Passenger’ label. Over time, the app will learn your driving behavior and automatically label trips as ‘Passenger’ for you. Trips labeled anything other than 'Driver' will not impact your score or streaks. If you'd like us to review trips or provide best practices, please email us at streetsmartsupport@amica.com!
