We bought this for our tour to Hana! I was dubious but oh-my-goodness I am so glad I bought it. Incredibly helpful, entertaining and just the right amount of info. Worth every penny!

Great tour of the Road to Hana
We loved having this guided tour of the Road to Hana, which linked to the GPS and car speaker!! We felt independent but guided on the journey to Hana and learned a lot of interesting facts along the way. It pointed out over 30 breath-taking places to stop. This is a great app and I can’t imagine doing this journey without this app!

Totally worth it for the road to Hana, Maui!
I sprung for the navigation system with our rental car…big mistake! It was a tablet that used google maps 🤪
So I downloaded Shaka guide and paid for the traditional route and made sure to download the route as I knew I’d lose cell service at points. Worked great and wasn’t distracting! It told us points to skip if we were low on time and everything we might want to know. I would’ve completely missed some awesome turnoffs. Keanae arboretum and keanae peninsula detour were highlights! Added bonus was when they’d tell you where gas was or bathrooms. Then on the drive back hearing the history of Hawaii was pretty cool too. Wish we would’ve known about Shaka guide when we drove up Haleakala crater for sunset!

Our first time to Hawaï. We barely did any research. I was told, go to Hana. Ok... I'm assually the go with the flow and figure it out as we go, but felt like I should check online... Came accross this app and was open to the idea and purchased one of the road trips. It was awesome. Great tour! Loved everything about the tour/app. Easy to use, very interesting and highly engaging. Even got my family (kids) very interested and following along. I don't think our road trip would have been the same without. Can't say enough about this app and the tour we did. Very well made. Definitely going to do another when the opportunity presents itself again. Highly recommended!

A must have, unless you have the money to spend on a private guide at all times.
We just returned from Kauai. I downloaded the four Shaka Guide tours of Kauai a few days before we left. My wife and I remarked after completing the first one—and many more times throughout the week—that the Shaka tours were the best bang-for-the-buck purchase. From just the perspective of finding places to enjoy, the guide was awesome. But the additional value of the historical and cultural narrations made the tours even more enjoyable for us. We were unsure whether our kids (a teen and tween) would enjoy the tours—they did even more than they would admit. I can’t recommend this app more highly. If you have a rental car and some time, you need this app to maximize your enjoyment of the island.

Downloaded the first guide as we were visiting the Volcano National Park and it was so much more than we expected.
Worth every penny.

A totally tubular tour app!!!!
My family and I used Shaka Guide for the Road to Hana tour in Maui and it did not disappoint! The local insight, great recommendations, and overall amazing storytelling amplified everything the Road to Hana had to offer. The price is very low for everything that is included with buying the tour such as the networkless gps which helped immensely with navigation especially in a dense forest. I wished that the app had a greater variety in the music that played when driving or “tour in progress” but with the constant stops we took it was alright. I honestly couldn’t imagine doing the Road to Hana without this guide, and in all honesty, I would say spend 20 dollars on this app and go at your own pace than way more with a large group (and stops you may not want) Overall this app is amazing and really impressive for not being owned by a large company. It’s high quality, interesting, and caters to you every need.

Get it you won’t regret it!
My husband used to live in Kauai but this was my first time visiting. We used all four Kauai tours and it was absolutely amazing to see all the stops and hear all the stories/legends. Even my husband learned and saw things he had never heard/seen before. It was really great and made our trip so fun! We will definitely be using this app when we come back to visit the other islands. If you want to see what the islands have to offer definitely get this app!

Road to Hana with vocal tour.
Glad we purchased this before we made the trek. Great info on what’s ahead to see, directions to points of interest and parking and recommended food/shopping stops. Not to mention, the history lesson of Hawaii you’ll get! Without this vocally guided tour, we’d have no idea where to stop and what we could skip based on our schedule/timing. The vocal talent was pleasant to listen to and had a great sense of humor. Would highly recommend you get this!
