Bitdefender Password Manager User Reviews

Seems easy to fix this….why haven’t they?

The frequency with which the app asks you to login with your Bitdefender account and your master password is unnecessary and annoying. Isn’t that the point of point of Face ID? Please make this easy fix.

The interface also is mediocre at best. Bitdefender Password Manager works A LOT better and more seamlessly on desktop than iOS.

Hard to access

It frequently logs out, then I’d have to put my BitDefender password, then I’d have to access my password authenticator app, THEN I’d have to input my master password. I find it very tedious. With LastPass, I just have to put in my master password or my iPhone Face ID.

Doesn’t work for me

Constantly asks for my master password and never seems to save a site password or offer it when needed. I’m surprised and disappointed because I’ve been happy with Bitdefender antivirus.

Makes you sign in 3 times…

This ‘would’ be a good app were it not for the fact that after a short time of not using the app, it makes you sign in 3 times. Seriously.. The password manager I had before this just wanted a PIN number to access it. This one? First you have to sign into your Bitdefender account. Then you have to get the authenticator key from a separate app, THEN you have to enter your master password for the app itself. Ridiculous

Would be great if it worked

Unfortunately this app doesn’t work. When you get to a login and click the key symbol to login password manager opens prompts for your pin and once entered shows you a list of passwords for the site. You click on the one you want and it goes back to the login screen but doesn’t fill in the password.
The other issue is every time you open the app you have to type in your username and password for your bitdefender central account and then it prompts for your master password. It should let you in with pin or biometrics or at the least pin or biometrics and then you master password. As it stand the iOS app for password manager needs a lot of work.

Irritating to use

Compared to Dashlane and Lastpass I have found Bitdefender’s password manager clunky. For example the lack of an option to create a password for a site from within Safari in iOS. Going in to the app to setup a password, then going back to Safari to paste in the password quickly becomes annoying. There have also been issues with Google login not working properly.

Useless

Still useless and no sign of an update After about 6 emails to support this app still doesn’t work - the username and passwords do not fill in - just blank spaces. I was sent the same solution that didn’t work twice then told the app isn’t compatible with safari - bit ridiculous for an iPhone app!

Ok but needs work

Only remembers some password accounts automatically when signing into various websites or applications, most of them I have to manually add. Functionality on PC appears to be significantly better than on mobile device. User interface isn’t that intuitive. LastPass has several beneficial features that I wish Bitdefender would incorporate.

Intrusive

It kept coming up in a new window asking for me to sign in again and again. Easier to sign into whatever website that would remember me than repeatedly having to sign in to a password manager
