  • Great app for learning to cook and beyond

I love to cook and this app introduces new ideas that I didn’t know before. Looks like a really good app for children to use.
  • Delightful

Learning a lot and the recipes look great! Love that it includes tips on selecting ingredients at the store and introduces reasonable substitutions.
  • Fantastic

So far this is an absolutely fantastic app to help understand a lot of the little things in cooking you don’t get from reading someone else’s recipes. In 3 days I’m already changing the way I store and prep things and I’m getting a little more confident in picking things out at the store. Wonderful job Parsnip team, hats off to you.

We are so inspired by this review! You summed up exactly what we were aiming for: what is everything a recipe doesn't teach you? Thanks so much for your feedback and keep an eye out for new recipes coming soon!
  • Great app

Let me start this off with this is the only app I’ve ever taken the time to review.

This app is fantastic, while I have always considered my self a decent cook I have learned quite a bit already. The app starts with you picking a what skill level you have and what types of food you might be interested in. The. The app walks you through how to pick the best ingredients with useful tips along the way. Next you learn the proper way to prepare the ingredients. And finally you go through useful tips on actually cooking the dish.
  • Love the app

Recommend to anyone especially new cooks
  • Fun and simple

Right to the point this is the go to app to learn cooking at home.
  • this app is great

im a 13yo bio male and i never showed an interest in cooking so in my household i never got taught so i havent gotten good at cooking or become knowledgeable in it but this app makes learning about cooking very fun and im definitely gonna start asking to cook for the family and ask for ingredients to cook my favorite foods myself. thanks to the creators/creator of this app it is genuinely needed in todays world
  • Fun app, feels limited in utility

The multiple choice questions are good for learning lots of useful tips in cooking, but not sure if it’s good for learning cooking principles.
  • Nifty

Found this app through Reddit- the developer commented about looking for ways to advertise on social media, and linked the app. He described it as “duo lingo for food” and I would say that’s pretty accurate. I’ve only completed one lesson but I learned so much I didn’t know. They start with walking through how to buy the right ingredients and what to look for, and how to prep. Then after you go through all the steps you unlock the recipe!
Loving it so far, and surprised by how much I didn’t know.

We're so glad you found us in the end and could learn a thing or two. Thanks so much for your review :)
  • Learning made fun!

It truly is like duolingo, which I thought was a big claim but it kept me hooked through an entire lesson without realizing! I already had the fundamentals of cooking but now I’m picking up even more in an interesting way. Great app!
