Pick a food you’d like to make, then complete a series of quizzes over time to check your instincts and refine your process. After scoring enough points, you unlock the recipe! This covers tips and basic knowledge about shopping for ingredients, using kitchen tools, safety, etc. Really clever and enjoyable, and makes cooking less intimidating!Anonymous28848948

Game changer for college freshman
This app has quickly become my favorite thing on my phone. I am a freshman in college, living in a dorm with a personal kitchen. And I can’t cook. My roommates can manage their own meals, but I had a meal plan this last semester. Over winter break I found Parsnip and it is a game changer. I really don’t know the slightest thing about cooking. I love how this app takes you step by step through shopping for ingredients to how to handle utensils and tools. I feel more confident in the kitchen than ever before. I’m looking forward to seeing more recipes added, I hope I can contribute some of my family’s favorites! I love that this app does not have any features you have to pay for. I don’t have time to balance my heavy school work and a job, so this app being free is going to continue to serve me for many months and hopefully years to come. Thank you for this great app, I cannot recommend it enough.sarahsicc
