  • Very Happy

    I have now used MILKRUN twice, and find it to be a wonderful service for those that are getting old and disabled. I can no longer go to shopping centres and walk up and down all the isles, push a trolley or carry heavy bags. The service has been ultra efficient and items are well packed. It has stopped the need for impulse buying and I am sure that over time I will be saving money. Thank you & well done to the organisers of MILKRUN.

  • Was good but no longer used

    I enjoyed milkrun when it first came to Dunedin and used it for all my groceries. The mark up is a bit off putting and the delivery fee is quite high but I felt the convenience made it somewhat worth it.

    Recently though, it has not been operating during usual business hours. As I write this, it is yet again closed with no explanation at 3.20pm on a Thursday. It has become so unpredictable and has no actual hours that it adheres too. Therefore it is no longer useful to me and I will return to click and collect at packnsave.

  • Great idea, poorly executed

    Look, I think this idea is GENIUS! My partner and I jumped on this so quick when we saw it come out however, in all honesty… the app has been pretty lazily put together.
    There’s no way to categorise you scrolling, there’s none of the specific nutritional info (kj, sugars, protein etc) under any of the items, price-per-unit is only available on some items which defeats the purpose of being able to compare.
    But our biggest issue is the delivery fee. I live about two minutes away from a supermarket and my mums house (where we usually stay on weekends) is about a 15 minute drive to the nearest. But since the fee is generalised, I pay the same price for someone to drive it 10 minutes to my mums house (which is fine) but also to DRIVE IT 30 SECONDS DOWN THE ROAD TO MY HOUSE…
    Since I live so close, I hardly ever get my groceries delivered but this cost issue, takes away any element of convenience.

    I hope they make some chances to make the shopping experience feel more personal and worth it, because it really is a great idea!

  • Terrible app and company service

    Okay, milkrun delivered my order to the wrong address and even had the nerve to send me a confirmation photo from the wrong house! This resulted in me losing a $75 order which frankly I can’t afford in this economy (I don’t know many who can) I was unable to contact the delivery person via the app to let them know (call wouldn’t go through) and the pre-generated messages were irrelevant and answered by an AI. After selecting a pre-generated option in lieu of making a complaint I was emailed a $10 coupon on my next order over $50. Once I replied and requested a refund I have been ignored ever since. I will be deleting the app and advising every single person I know to avoid it. I never write reviews or make complaints because usually I can just explain it away as someone having a bad day or a business being busy. But the complete removal of the ability to lodge a complaint, the disdain for both customers and workers is a real kick in the guts. I’m still subscribed to their mailing list despite multiple attempts to unsubscribe! So “Dave” the “CEO of milkrun”, stop emailing me and give me back my $75.

  • So reliable and helpful!!

    My husband and I recently got our car stolen so we weren’t able to grocery and was finding it hard to keep up with what we needed at home. My aunt suggested Milkrun and I didn’t have any idea that it would be so useful for things like emergency runs. It was super fast and reliable and the first three orders are free. It is a bit more expensive if you compare to other grocery delivery sites but it’s reliability will be a plus+++ for me. Would definitely use again for future buys. The driver that dropped it off was also very nice and accomodating. Everything was sent in a little under 40 minutes. Im sooo happy to have gotten everything that I needed for this week.

  • Star App 🌟🌟

    Ive used Milkrun twice so far and I haven't had any problems with any of my deliveries. Theyre always relatively quick and save me from having to go out when im feeling lazy. I have been asked by a delivery person once prior to give him a good review to which I agreed but there is no feature on the app to do so. I hope this gets added soon as I think it would be helpful for customers and Milkrun. 🌟🌟

  • Good - but ….

    This app has been amazing. I often don’t have time to get to the supermarket so being able to get just as few things is great. The $25 min is affordable - however… I have noticed that the prices are almost $1 or so more than in the actual store. The upside is that they give you 3 free deliveries at the start and delivery after that is only $7 and they get to you within 20 mins. Obviously this explains the cost online vs in stores- they need to be upfront about it though considering the profits they are making. So after the first free delivery’s I would suggest being very sure about what you buy.

  • Convenient

    Really convenient app and has been so helpful since we currently don’t have any transport at the moment. The only downside is when there’s technical difficulties the whole app doesn’t work and can’t even check for updates on my already paid order until the updates or whatever is finished. But other than that really good.

  • So easy and convenient !

    This service has been a dream.
    There is nothing more frustrating for me when I need something from the supermarket for dinner & the kids arent cooperating, I’m already halfway through a dish, truly nothing more head ache inducing but MILKRUN has made this such a dream !
    & even having a slight issue with addresses they were more than helpful & very quick with responses to help me !
    Will recommend to everyone !

  • Terrible customer service!

    I originally signed up to gain the 3000 rewards points on offer…well they never came through & when I spoke to someone they tried saying I had only just linked my card. I had actually linked at least a month before when I first ordered…they said they would follow up to see if they could get the points granted & of course I never heard back!
    Another time I placed an order when the whole system crashed…I was using a $20 off voucher & free delivery! While the money I paid was refunded, it took me days of emails to get the voucher refunded but never got the free delivery back 🙄
    All I can say is keep a very close eye if you are using any of their ‘special offers’
