  • Great absorbing word game, nearly perfect

A brilliant word game with just the right amount of difficulty to keep you coming back for more. Would be perfect but no option to turn off vibration, no syncing between devices and most annoyingly this app eats battery at a ridiculous rate. An app like this should not heat my phone until it’s hard to hold. No other word game I own does this!

  • Fun game and great execution

If you like word games you should definitely try this one. It’s a unique game with solid mechanics and something to do every day.

I’ve just been playing the free version and it’s really good. No ads, annoyances, or other funny business. If you don’t want to unlock the extra stuff it’s just a great game for free. Nothing to dislike about that!

  • Fantastic but needs iCloud sync

I love doing the small puzzles during stolen moments with my phone. However, the larger puzzles would greatly benefit from being on the iPad.

I will also echo others in saying that the automatic square selection for entering / deleting letters is unintuitive (to be charitable). I still love the game, though.

I did not hesitate to pay for the full unlock, and I wrapped up the month's puzzle book in the first week. :)

  • Terrific

    Wordle for smarty pants
  • Clever game with bad controls

This game is a great and clever puzzle. I love how I am not penalized for mistakes, and can work my way to the full solution my own way.

However, the controls are terrible. If I have a block, and I type A, B, backspace, I would expect my “B” to be erased, and the next letter I press would fill in where the B was. Backspace doesn’t remove the B, it only moves the cursor. This gets even more convoluted when you have partially filled in already. Say you have _ _ A. If you select the first square and type C, B, backspace… it removes the “A”.

Just make the cursor work like every other text entry method on the planet!!! Backspace should erase the location *prior* to the cursor.

  • Excellent game, family sharing for pro?

This is a wonderful game, but it seems the in-app purchase for the lifetime pro version cannot be shared with family while the subscription can be shared. Is that right? Perhaps the developer could clarify. I’d buy the lifetime pro version right now if I could be sure my family could share it.
  • The game is good 👍

I truly enjoy this game and find it very fun. It’s a great way to start each day with a mini and classic challenge but I agree with many of the other reviews. Text input (and backspacing) seems to be very unintuitive and a bit disruptive with where it chooses to go. Also, the subscription/full price is a bit steep though I do understand… it’s interesting that you only get the first 10 puzzles for the month but I guess that keeps you coming back more for the daily puzzles. Speaking of wish, I really wish we got to do just 1 twisty puzzle a day. Additional tidbits - Don’t like double tapping to get into puzzles. Wish we could silence the rabbit. Would love to see what the color/theme options are as well as what the Daily Twist looks like before throwing up a pay screen. I would never buy something I can’t see or test out first. Finally, sharing to Facebook only shares a link to the game, unlike Twitter which shares a picture of the puzzle (preferable) 🧩

  • Enjoyable Puzzle Game

Enjoyable puzzle game with a different take on the whole crosswords theme.
  • Not great

Can be fun, but some of the longer puzzles are impossible to complete without guessing. A good puzzle game shouldn’t require guesswork. The game NEEDS a restart button, but you have to manually delete each letter, and with an interface as bad as this game’s, it’s definitely a hassle. I paid for the full version because of the good first impression it makes, but I regret doing that. This game, if you’re gonna play it at all, is best experienced in small doses. Don’t make the same mistake I did. This game is worth a $0 price tag and not a cent more.

  • great game, needs a couple UX refinements

Terrific concept. Long hints need to not constantly pop up and obscure the board on the phone. Your results need to sync across multiple devices so you can switch between, say, iPhone and iPad. The feature that advances the cursor when you enter a letter could use some indication of which direction it will go next. The menu system could be streamlined.
