  • Great, one nitpick

Engaging, fun, heartily recommended. Only nitpick is the constant frustration with whatever algorithm is trying to pick the next cell for you to fill in. It does not seem to follow any discernible pattern and is maddening. Sometimes it skips filled in letters, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes when you select a different cell it carries your previous word orientation forward, sometimes it switches. Sometimes letters in a group fill left to right first, then top to bottom, sometimes the other way around. I understand it’s difficult to interpret the person playing the game’s intention when they select a new cell, but I find myself wishing it just totally copied the NYT crossword controls, since they’re at least predictable.

  • Super fun

I’m hooked after a couple of days. A good challenge to top off my wordle addiction
  • Great!

Installed on iPad without a problem. Loving it so far on the free version and considering the paid version once complete.
  • A nearly perfect game you aren’t allowed to play.

I really like this game, controls are intuitive, concept is well thought out and even better executed, the presentation is nothing less than what I’ve come to expect from Zach Gage games. All that said, I think 12 dollars (or a subscription service) is a little steep for a mobile game. I beat every available puzzle and daily puzzle up until this review in just under a day. I’d at least like the option to maybe watch ads to continue playing or unlock other content. Even if the cost were only .99 cents I’d have a hard time giving this a 5 because (so far) all the puzzles are time locked (so daily/monthly levels rather than everything all at once) which still would mean that I wouldn’t be allowed to play once I beat the paid content. I really like supporting smaller devs and I’ve enjoyed every single other Zach Gage game almost to its fullest but this sitting next to the almost infinite levels of Good Sudoku

  • Engaging little puzzler

Takes the helpful mechanics of Good Sudoku and brings it to crosswords.
  • Brilliant new word logic puzzler

Super impressed by this game. It’s such a wonderfully elegant design that feels like it could have been printed in newspapers for decades - think of it as a reverse crossword where you are given the letters instead of the clues. It really does feel like untying a particularly devious knot, completely inscrutable at first, but as you poke and prod you’ll eventually find a loose end that begins to unravel the puzzle and reveal the structure. Every word you reveal hints toward its contiguous letter groupings, and the way these clues cascade through the puzzle is immensely satisfying.

  • The new wordle

Absolutely hooked! I’m usually not one for crosswords but this is such a delight to play and really helps me keep my vocabulary up to speed, learning so many new words. A beautifully and meticulously designed game and worth every penny.
  • Except for UI this is so fun

A huge fan of Good Sodoku and World, this game marries the two. Lots of options to practice and challenge. Only (significant) drawback is that there is no logic to assume letters you’ve already places shouldn’t change unless you tap to overwrite. This results is hugely disruptive errors and you tap out the words and is almost enough to put me in a knot. That said, I’ve added it to my daily brain hygiene and recommend to fellow puzzlers.

  • Great game suffers from insane dictionary

I love the concept and the UI of this game but it really suffers from the incredibly large dictionary of words to select from. I understand that to make the more complex puzzles work that the creators need a wide selection of words but some words this game considers valid and expects users to guess are insane. Way too many obscure 2 letter words are some of the worst offenders. I can’t say enough good about the design and user interface, because they are excellent but the vague and incredible dictionary really sour the experience
