Cloaked

This is one of the best apps I have used. It is a bit complex when starting and may require a different mindset towards how to protect your identity. Once you have figured out what you want and your threat model, this app is great and does what I want it to do for me.

Lost Account of Paid Custome

I liked the idea of this app and was planning on moving away from password mangers to this service. I’m a paid member. I hadn’t logged in for a while so when I did come back, I couldn’t log in. Cloaked lost my account! They could charge me for the service, but couldn’t find the account. Support reset it, but then I couldn’t read anything in it because the reset was different than the original account. Customer service was pathetic and wouldn’t do anything about the account mess. Canceled my service. This is how they treat paying customers, you don’t want to be one.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Our zero-knowledge encryption means that access to your account is fully gated by either your password or your recovery key. Without either, the only way back into your account is through an account reset, which breaks the encryption protecting your data. Scam don’t fall for it.

I signed for a trial because they advertised and wrote a whole page long about their virtual card service like that of (Ironvest or Privacy) other companies. They told me that service is for only PAID customers so I paid for 1 month subscription only for them to come back and tell me it is for a few selected customers.
So I try to cancel my account and there is no way to do that and these scammers have been trying to bill my card ever since. So No matter what you do, Do not sign up. Just a bunch of good scamming liars that want your money.

It works well

I really like the data removal part although I wish it was a bit faster and more effective. I really like the phone and email identity part except I wish I could make outgoing calls with the phone identity and send out emails and texts instead of just receive. I also wish that I could use the emails or phone number identities that I create as the usernames for services like discord or protonmail, etc but usually those services say the number or email won’t be accepted due to spam account/fraudulent activity concerns.

Doesn’t work from the start

After paying for my protection plan, the app repeatedly asked me to keep selecting a plan and pay again. Thinking maybe the payment didn’t take, I try paying again, but Apple blocks the payment verifying I’ve paid.
After several attempts of closing the app and reopening, I gave up.
I went into subscriptions and canceled within 30 minutes.

It works as promised

I was getting as many as 30 spam emails per day. Many times for the same offers that were basically phishing from 3 to 4 different email addresses.
It was getting ridiculous. because it would fill up my inbox.
After one week. I receive zero. Every email I received is what I should be getting.
If you are so inundated with spam not only in your email. But phone calls three or four times a day. And you’re getting tired of it.
Download Cloaked.
I have no complaints. And I haven’t utilized the power of the program to its fullest.

Essential part of daily practice

Cloaked has been a great tool in my journey of cybersecurity and personal privacy. The ability to generate phone numbers has greatly cut down on spam calls and texts. I also love the data removal because it helped to ensure I’m less exposed to more spam and worse, identity theft. As privacy becomes about habits, I highly recommend making this a part of your digital pattern of life and protect yourself when signing up for new sites

Impossible to cancel paid subscription

I have tried multiple ways to cancel my monthly subscription and still can’t figure out how to do it. They make it unnecessarily complicated. When you click on manage subscription, they make you sign back into the website with a different email that they provide and it’s apparently supposed to bring up another page. I have no idea what step comes after that because the page never comes up and none of their links regarding your subscription will work in the app or on the website via mobile.

The service wasn’t able to accomplish what I had initially expected. I paid for the service to manage the amount of spam I receive in my email inbox. However, I get the same amount of spam and it’s been over a month since I created the account.

Definitely worth the monthly fee for cloaked. I would highly recommend getting this app. Lucas is a Tech that works for cloaked and was very helpful in answering all my questions and helping work through minor issues. Thanks for the great service!
