Needs a lot of improvements to be worth my money

This developer needs to build a larger database.

Of seven stones I wanted to identify, I had more success searching the internet with visual queues, than I did taking a picture with this app…and yes, the photos were taken clearly and with enough light. I found three of the seven with a by-name search on the app AFTER looking them up on the internet, because none of the photos I took were successfully identified - when I did get a result, the images provided didn’t even resemble the stones I was looking for.

Maybe when this app is worth the money, I will download it again and pay the subscription. Otherwise, I’m not paying $7.99 a month OR $30 a year for something that does basically nothing.

Sadly a disappointment 😔

As a reiki healer, massage therapist and Wiccan, I do a LOT of work with stones and crystals. I’d hoped this app would help for when I’m unsure of a stones type. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, so the camera is excellent. Of the 1st 10 common stones I tested, it got 2 right on the 1st or 2nd try. The rest took several tries, and it was stumped by garnet. Maybe it’s due to the very small data base; about 100 stones. I think it also falls short describing healing properties and uses. It may says what seems to be a lot about the stones, but it leaves out SOOO much, and doesn’t give important information, such as energy absorption, dispersal and blocking properties, cleaning, cleansing & handling info, list various cuts/types & their uses (clusters, pyramids, pendulums, wands, etc.), what other stones they pair with and counter-productive uses or parings and leaves out a lot of other important info. It’s hot and miss in giving care, handling and different uses, and I’d like to see much more standardized information given for all their entries.

Overall, I like the app, but it needs much improvement and far more data to be worth the cost. I will watch it to see if it becomes more accurate and adds more data.

Pla-doh!

My young daughter’s playdoh lump is actually malachite according to this app! It’s amazing! Super cool! So not worth a penny!

Not even close

I used this app to identify several different stones. Misidentified all of them. Not even close.
On the plus side, this app deleted with no problem.

Bad ads

I got the year premium for this app and I regret it. It will give you different names for the same stone base on the angle you take the picture of it, and also base on the light, if is sunny or cloudy, it won’t be consisting with the name of information. Don’t buy it don’t waste your money

Not free

Trial forces you into a three day free with an automatic renewal of an annual fee there’s nothing free they bait you in and switch it to a paid version they don’t even let you try it for free without selecting thatYou will pay Annually in three days time

How do you cancel subscription

I can’t find anything in the app to let me cancel my subscription. The app does not properly identify the stones and I do not want to pay for the subscription after my free 3 day trial.

Do NOT get this app

It mistook Jade for Hematite… how is that even possible? That’s all I needed to see about the free trial before I uninstalled it 10 minutes later… only to learn I was charged for it anyways!
This is not at all an effective resource for identification and their “free trial” is bogus. So frustrating!

Doesn't work

I tried this app on over a dozen of gems I already have identified and it couldn't get even one right. Don't waste your money.

Does not work

I have hundreds of stones. I know what they are. Tried this app and apparently I only have Moon Stones. I don’t own a single Moon Stone. Do not pay $30 a year for this.
