  • Beware of V2

The description states this app has full integration with other Affinity apps, but that is not the case. You cannot utilise studio link with V1 of either Photo or Designer, you have to have v2 of both of them also.
Raised this with Serif direct and asked for a refund for this app so I could look at purchasing the entire V2 suite. I was basically told to ‘push off’

All three V2 apps are fully compatible across all three programs and operating systems, plus you can move all your V1 work into V2. It's not backwards compatible though I'm afraid, so V2 files won't open in V1, and you wouldn't be able to use StudioLink between a mix of V1 and V2 programs
  • Brilliant

I have been waiting for this for 2 years. Absolutely love it, works flawlessly and smooth and has everything I need. The link solution is amazing and so handy.
  • Very disappointed!

No templates are included, with the exception of 10 samples. Meaning I need to start from scratch, meaning I have no clue! Most online templates cost money; in addition, I don’t know how to install them into the app. Just confirms what I’ve known all along—nothing is easy with Affinity apps. PLEASE, developers, provide us with templates! Then I will up my rating to 5 stars.

  • Great app with one problem!

I bought affinity photo and design ver 1 for ipad, both of them are fantastic and I will update to new version. I had a passion for publisher and I installed trial version. after work with them I think it’s a fantastic app. it’s great we can design and publish long content like books and magazine with ipad, it’s grate. app feature and format support is fantastic. but any apps of the serif affinity don’t support RTL text! I use mirror online web site for import RTL text in designer and photo. but in publisher we have a big problem for this app because our texts are to long and we can’t use mirror tools for them. I don’t think after ending trial version time I buy this app only for this problem! Because I need your app support RTL text. I’m sure very people will be waiting for RTL text support. your software is fantastic and economy for middle east and north Africa market. Please adding this feature. Thanks.

  • A few small errors

I love it in a million different ways, but the double tap options are limited to publisher tools, which is useless in studio link. And, the saving function is wonky; I can only seem to get anything saved by saving a copy, otherwise the save copy is no where to be found. Other than that, it’s more or less everything we hoped it would be.

  • Replacement for PagePlus

Disappointed as now no facility now to produce calendars easily.
Will have to go back to PagePlus which is now rather out of date and no longer supported.
I had looked forward to this version as can be used on the iPad pro. as well.

    Developer Response

We don't have templates to do this in the way your legacy program did, but you can use Affinity Publisher to produce anything you want, including calendars.
  • Small problem

ipados “…” stage manager* blocks the top center affinity menu. Easy fix i hope :)
  • No Right-to-left text support

You can't use this for Kurdish, Arabic, or Persian.
  • Zoom mode on iPad

Can’t use zoom mode in iPad to make tools bigger. It is fine on affinity version 1. In zoom mode in iPad new document does not function properly, it expands on right side only. I am sure the next update will fix all problems.
  • Full of bugs

The app feels like a beta version with lot of functionalities not working. Pulled in a svg image in publisher that was created in designer and it keeps on disappearing. PDF export keeps on hanging and doe not work. Others should wait for serif to update to 2.1 or future version
