  • I really want to use this but…

I mainly use Affinity Publisher on desktop, on Windows and store my document and related images and PDFs on cloud drive. So, I was really excited about having Publisher available on the iPad. However, unless I am missing something , all links use an absolute path and there seems to be no way to set a relative path for the links - not in the iPad version nor the Desktop version. So, it’s not possible to continue editing between different devices unless the folder structure is exactly the same (e.g. Mac and iPad and files on iCloud). Serif Team, please add relative path option to resources.

  • Thank you.

Thank you for bringing this to iPad. I could not be more grateful.
  • BUG - NON FEATURE

Constant harassment to create an account that I DO NOT NEED OR WANT!!!! Every-time I open the app, I PAID FOR.

Please remove this NON FEATURE. People purchased your apps, some have iCloud+ and do not require another account with a 3rd party!

This annoying NON FEATURE was not in ver 1.0.

Yes apologies that is a bug - it should not keep asking you after you dismiss the first time. This will be fixed in the next update
  • Great so far

I was super excited to see Publisher has finally made it to iPad. I’ve had a flawless experience so far. Perhaps it’s in part due to my iPad Pro having an M1 chip & buckets of available memory.

If you need right to left text, you should hold off on the purchase. While I have no need for that myself, I can see the value in making the app more multiculturally accessible.

If you are a person that wants pre-made templates to get you started, this is also not the app for you. This is for creatives that want full creative control! Personally, I really hate apps with templates - especially when they are always visible on startup and you have to start with one. They just slow you down when you always want to do your own thing.

As far as fraud goes, I don’t get it? Across all operating systems and platforms, apps are continually developed and improved. They are in progress until they are dead/no longer supported. We are fortunate that Serif isn’t gouging us like everyone with a subscription model. We get free updates from the time of purchase until the next major version release. At that time we can pay for the upgrade or choose to stick with what we have. This used to be standard everywhere. The old versions don’t stop working, they just don’t get the new features. Serif usually offers significant discounts whenever there’s a new release. Personally, I think this is pretty fair & wish more creative software worked this way.

To end on a positive note, I can’t express how much I love how seamlessly it works switching into the Designer and Photo personas when working on a publication. It’s so, so nice!

  • FRAUD by selling incomplete products in order to force you to purchase AGAIN! That’s FRAUD!

So Affinity thinks it can get away with making a bunch of people buy their suit/products, ONLY to then come out with a part 2 (thus rendering part 1 useless and no longer useable) which means they sold an incomplete product, this is a VIOLATION OF LAW lets start a lawsuit.
THE RIPPED ME OFF TWICE as I bought the 3 set suite for iPad and then my Mac as well NOW NONE OF my purchases work and they want to force us to buy it all over again but according to the comments on it, ITS 100X’s WORSE WITH LESS ABILITIES AND a terrible unusable interface.
Looking for lawyer to take them to court.

Upgrading is completely optional and, if you wish, you can continue to use the original apps for as long as you like. While V1 will no longer receive any feature updates, we will endeavour to fix any critical issues which may be caused by operating system updates for as long as is reasonable to do so.
  • Promising but Frequently crashing

An app with many functions however it crashes too often only after a few simple edits and loses all my work.
Also when inserting an image from photo library, it doesn’t recognize the edit done in the apple’s photo app.
  • Too many bugs right now

I love the Affinity suite. Went all in on V1 and immediately upgraded to V2—especially excited for Publisher on iPad. Unfortunately, there are too many bugs to get real work done on the iPad. Frequent crashing, loss of basic fonts, long load times, long save times, crashing during saves, having to close the document in order to access the option to save your work…a slew of problems that make the app feel utterly unreliable. And worse, support has been slow to respond to bug reports, which is the biggest disappointment of all. I’ll be working with the desktop apps until these issues are resolved.

  • Please fix Korean charactor input error.

Please fix Korean charactor input error. It goes like '아르ㅁ다우ㄴ' where it should be '아름다운'.. There are tons of designers and professionals here, willing to replace Adobe apps to Affinity apps. I have purchased V2 version, understanding how it can be a game changer in tablet publishing work.

    Thanks for the product.

  • Impressive

I’m a fan of feature set and it being non-subscription, but

    1) You must log in to validate license (to be fair I can see why)
    2) Unless I can find a way to hide paid stock services I will regret having bought it
  • RTL text support

Please add the RTL text support!!
