  • Frustrating

Just had pull plug on base that took days to build after yet another breakdown. Ok with pace of the game and the odd mishap, but things took a downward spiral after all my money had gone and a resupply rocket could not be paid for. Money accrues over time, and you need it to research, build and pay for your supply rockets. This is a must, and RNG events do more to hinder you than help, and top it off you only realise your base is badly laid out when it’s too late. I might do better a 2nd time, but hey, some nasty RNG event may tip the fine balance once more. I’m moving on with my life!

  • Stops working

Like the last person who reviewed, I have done the tutorial, started to build my base and it just stopped/ froze.
It then kept on telling me to build a star base which I build and then it also kept on telling me to build an control room which I have already done so.
I have tried to wipe this game off my iPad and renew, this also didn’t work, it just went back to what I have already done and wouldn’t let me do a restart.
For me to play this game again it would need a major upgrade. I hope it does, I enjoyed the parts I had played by then.

  • This is so great, just a few recommendations

The game is awesome and it was worth the wait. I do have some recommendations though,
    1. Add a snap to grid feature. I think that the rotation tool is a little complicated and it would be nice if there was a way to snap the buildings together and not have these slight angles on buildings
    2. Main menu (difficulty, faction, planet, etc.) This would be really great for the game if they added a main menu like in the original game, being able to choose factions, planet and all that stuff.

That’s all I have for now, the game is amazing for a beta release and I have yet to encounter a single bug.

  • Games good

Games great but it’s glitchy as hell. Money doesn’t show up as I earn it sometimes freezes and the money for adds don’t always work.
  • Good but…

I think the game is great this is what I’ve been waiting for from them. But with that said I think the game could use some adjustments. The events happen really quickly and you cannot make enough money to keep up with them and to grow your city after a certain point in the game. So I would say either slow down the event rate or increase the money made. It’s starting to seem like a p2p type game and that’s not what I’m used to from the creators games.

  • Really fun game

I quite enjoy the game. I have played TerraGenesis for far longer than I care to admit, and well this game is certainly early in development and can be improved I feel that it maintains the level of quality that this team’s first game had. The detail of resource management and planet exploration is very fun and engaging to me, and I definitely enjoy the base building mechanics. Even if I do find it mildly infuriating that there’s no grid snapping for buildings, but that might just be because I’m a perfectionist. Who knows

  • Manufacturing controls lacking/creates other problems

Love the game, but we have no manufacturing control. So basically, you can’t pause manufacturing for a specific item (say a rover or module) when you don’t need/want anymore. When you hit the pause button it asks you to pay using genesis points. I would understand if you’re trying to accelerate it, but if you’re simply trying to pause or start it that’s extreme. Could be a button layout issue, but it’s very aggravating and makes resource management very hard as a result.m, because you have to shut the entire factory down. With this being a building game similar to civilization, etc, this is a major design flaw.

Further because you have to shut a factory down, you don’t get to use say the river garage as a result of poor planning on the developers part, which means you can’t use more than two rovers as a result.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your review, and sorry to hear you're experiencing this -- how frustrating! The good news is that we're aware of this issue and are currently working on a fix. Please stay tuned for future updates. Thanks again!
  • Game stops working

Just done the tutorial, then game goes to “must now build a command centre” that’s already done, when you try to build another it says “only one centre allowed per city” game then freezes and nothing works. No response from support Facebook page shows many others with the same issue but issue is not being resolved. I was beginning to like this game, now I cant use it at all, uninstall and re install, game centre just goes back to where you left off, working better now but costs too much to achieve anything, only way to get on and keep going is to pay, spoils the experience

  • Slow down, take your time.

I wrote a rather scathing review the other day but in hindsight it was too harsh and a bit premature. I restarted my colony and took a much slower approach to expansion and attempted to balance life support and economic advances and I must say I have a colony that is now thriving. I still think the colonists are a bit more accident prone than they should be and it unfortunately causes you to treat them more like a resource (which I guess in this type of game they technically are) but overall, much more enjoyable once I corrected my own user error.

  • Lots of bugs

Keeps freezing up on tutorial, and sending back to the start once tutorial is finished… unplayable.
