Check Deposits Often Rejected
This is very frustrating since it takes a day to acknowledge the deposit and then another day for the funds to be available after approval. Not one deposit rejection has been valid, it just results in a longer time for me getting access to the funds.JLE1980
For small operations
Generally very nice and helpful people. Do not expect to be handling a lot of checks and deposits by way of checks are quite limited. You’re likely to run to into limits every month and that will not be nice if you’re running a business. They will take several WEEKS to cash checks. Once again you can’t Run any kind of business that way. They are good for a bank account in name only or maybe segregate some Funds from your real bank account.Show lessRahzan
Horribly long holds and bad accounting
Every time I make a deposit I get a notification it’s going to be on hold. Waiting for the funds to clear takes a couple weeks. So far the past two times I’ve done so there’s been large account errors in my account prior to the deposit. This time there was a recent -$4800 taken out. I’ll send an in app message and they fix it but this is pretty ridiculous. If they can’t do something about these long deposit holds I’ll move to another company.Show lessPilotChance

Grasshopper Bank is okay. I have the free business checking that offers a 1% cash back for maintained balances of $10,000 or more. It’s is user friendly. The Chris complaint is the amount of time it takes for deposited funds to be available. It takes around a week or more to be honest. Solid with a few inconveniences
Mobile depositing is VERY strict (it would be great if there were some AI utilization to real-time alert if requirements have been met) and the navigation can be somewhat confusing, but it generally does what I need it to do.RebeccaSSings87
Disappointing onboarding
I went through the trouble of trying to setup an account with grasshopper for my new business. The application was not approved and when I inquired why they told me that they couldn’t tell me why my account was denied “for security reasons”, but that I could apply as many times as I wanted.
