You guys did so great in creating this. Having an app where people are able to share their experiences and come together is phenomenal in and of itself. That being said, I think you guys should try integrating ads into your app instead of focusing on a paid subscription. Being able to talk to people who experience the same issues that we go through is really on another level, and being able to respond to those who relate would be great without a subscription/paywall when it comes to responding to messages. This app is great. It is honestly the first of its kind that I’ve seen. But honestly, I really think responding to messages should be a given. I understand ad revenue is a big measure, but if you guys could find a way to make this particular feature free without a subscription, and instead provide an alternative, your app would definitely flourish. As a user, I hope you understand. Either way, thank you for what you’ve been able to accomplish with this app. And I hope you are able to understand how better you guys could make this app better.

  • Premium is basically the whole point.

I just got the app off an ad and to be honest I’m regretting my choices of downloading it. The app has soooooo much potential, but what’s the point of being a mental help service if you only adhere to people with extra money to spend?? I can’t go to meetings, listen to them, interact with others, or even LOOK at the DMs which is how people help your cause. The makers of this app just seem crazily money-hungry. Not everyone is able to afford your services. In fact most people on the app, people with mental issues or who could the services of the app are TEENAGERS. How do you expect teenagers with personal issues to have extra money to spend? Why can’t I join the meetings?? There’s even a “plus” section of the meetings but it literally restricts everyone of them. I don’t see the point. At least make the DMs be seen for sometime instead of making people buy them, it doesn’t even make any sense. This app has potential but the issues on it sound like they’d add more to your already stressed mental issues than take away from them💀

  • It is not a SAFE SPACE *Trigger warning*

The incentive behind this app was to create a safe space for MENTAL HEALTH. Right? I downloaded this app, for the same reason. I come to find out at around 1:20 am, a lot of 19-22 years old were talking this community called “Humans”. A lot of the people on there weren’t really listening to the other, and kept talking about themselves. One person finally came on, and she described that she had been too tired and couldn’t complete this suicide attempt. She admitted to being covered in blood. She is a mother and didn’t want to live anymore. The next people that came on were so insensitive, completely disregarding the fact that she had just explained her suicide attempt. They were so insensitive, telling her to just “walk in the park” and to “not talk bad about God”. They were mad at her? They were saying that she was selfish and needs to fix her own problems, when clearly they didn’t know how to deal with someone like this. I had to text in chat to the person, and on the group chat explaining my disgust. I hope thé mother deleted the app, and I made the report hoping that the app obliged by it. What happened was disgusting and wrong! Please do not download this app, it is not a safe space!

  • Decent!

Overall pretty good app, I’m looking forward to seeing future updates. There’s various places to write about how you feel and I really like that about this app. I’ve been too worried to join the meetings, but looking forward to hopefully seeing what those are like eventually. I rated 4 stars because there’s just a couple things I’d like to suggest. First thing is I wish there was a place where you could access your old posts. Just to reread for progression or to delete the message if desired. Second is it shouldn’t require premium to access dms. I understand you guys need to make money, but myself and a lot of people can’t do the subscriptions. For non premium users, you could have us watch an ad before accessing each dm. Premium removes said ads of course. DMs are just a huge part of the point in the app. They’re half the point, receiving support and advice. I understand that’s what meant to draw us to buying premium, but like I said some of us just can’t and I’m sure we’d happily trade that for some ads.
If you did read, I appreciate it. Thank you for developing this app as it is a wonderful idea. It has helped me see there are people like me and we can kinda be a community. I just want to be able to send and receive support in this community:)

  • I’m disappointed

I’m one of the first people who used this app. I was here when a developer came on and told me and others that truth (a British man, I believe) I never had the money to receive proper therapy and I have social anxiety, so this app being free and anonymous was like heaven to me. I leave the app for some months, come back, and the app has gotten better but also, worse. Better, because of the new features, but worse, because of how limited it is for people who use the app for free to use them. 24hr chat is a plus feature, so only 1hr if you’re using the app for free. Making multiple post is a plus feature, so about 1 post if you’re using it for free. Looking at replies is a plus feature, looking at dms is a plus feature. Like, what happened? What made this app different was it’s accessibility and safety in anonymity. What happened to that understanding that everyone with mental health issues deserves to be heard with no heavy barriers? It all just feels the same now, just capitalistic.

  • Almost everything is paid, nearly unusable.

This app could be SO good. It’s disappointing that an app dedicated to mental health requires you pay (and may I add, a ridiculous monthly fee) for most features, given a majority of people struggling with their mental health also struggle financially. It feels predatory, especially given the rising costs of therapy and medications. You’re telling people they are only worthy of extra help and support if they have the funds for it. I for one am dirt poor which makes my mental health so much worse, but cannot do anything about it clearly because I need to be wealthy if I want active support, even just on an app. It also makes it incredibly inaccessible to kids with families who are not supportive of mental health awareness!

You can’t even make more than one post a day without paying, which means if you’re struggling extra bad mentally and you’re poor, sorry you have to compile all your vents into one post and you better hope you don’t have another issue that same day that requires venting to feel better!

  • Suggestions

I love having both the talk and text chat feature. I suggest swiping to the left to get faster to chat area instead of button to get to chat maybe have the ability to be in line and be able to have a button continue to move back 1 spot to let the person behind you go first and you just move behind them and don’t have to go all the way back to the end of the line. Also possibility ability to have a noise notification when your up talking in case you were listening with your phone locked and screen notification pop up and a visual chat room notification maybe also to see the chat line profile pics in text chat room in small bubbles somewhere and Im new to app 2nd day I don’t know much about the chat rooms and why they are open at certain times but as from hearing from people in the app they suggest having more chat rooms open more times. And the personal messages button at bottom and maybe swipe left to get to that also with sound notification to know you got a message from person. I’ll email more suggestions if I think of any Or leave in feedback would love to get in contact and chat with you guys or even work for you or volunteer.

  • 👎🏽

This app was really great and amazing until they started charging everyone to use the basic features of the app. I was a regular user or this app, been a member since last year and I was on this app everyday until they decided to charge. Without payment you have to wait until the nightly meetings to be able to speak on your issues. Without payment you aren't able to read the meeting chats or any messages. So whats the point of this app? It was a safe space for so many people and now it has been taken away. There is also a girl that is constantly asking everyone for money, from what I know, she's a long time member. The ceo constantly sends members into the app asking questions and getting everyones feedback just for him not to listen and make the app horrible. On top of all that there is always people coming in treating the app like a dating app or being weird, rude, racist, homophobic, etc etc and nothing gets done about them. Just a warning telling everyone to be nice.

  • Unfair

People go in there and talk about how they want to assault people, about how they want to end peoples lives, about them wanting to end their own. People go on there and talk all day about how men are trash, people go in there and have cash app names, Instagram, names, Twitter names, get into the chats and shout, racial slurs, and somehow don’t get banned, it’s a waste of time to be on there. If you say something someone doesn’t like, they can report you so many times that you get banned. But because you don’t report people who yell racial slurs and talk about committing murder and suicide, they get to stay on there. Also, there’s nothing stopping an adult from getting into the chat where the underage children are. So imagine all of these people I’m talking about, being able to get in chats with kids. For this reason, I give it one star, because someone who is mentally conflicted enough to download this app, who come to experience a space where they need a sense of community because they’re not getting it in real life, this is an unsafe space. this place is full of angry, miserable, wicked, manipulative people who thrive off to attacking people when you finally get your chance to speak because they disagree.

  • Needs more moderation and trained personnel — plus different apps/interface for minors/adults

I am a therapist and decided to check this out. I was really shocked by how irresponsible this app is. The things people were sharing — probably 80% of the conversation was children sharing sexual abuse or self harm narratives. Almost all the app was 16 or younger. It felt weird and predatory at times, and like a bunch of kids trying to one-up each other about who had the worse trauma. There’s no clear way to follow through on reporting mechanisms. Kids should not be supporting kids about sexual abuse or self harm — some things need to be handled without anonymity and with adults present. Parents, unless your kid is already getting therapy, I would not recommend this app. Teens, if you’re getting on this app to “share your trauma” as many put it — I applaud your openness, but know that true healing of trauma requires evidence-based therapy. Adults — this app isn’t for us lol the kids are already all up in there. This app needs at least 1 trained counselor in each room at all times. It needs different interfaces for adults and kids. Without both of those things, it is irresponsible, hurtful and should fail.
