  • Urgent: Sony Alpha 6700 App Connectivity Fails—Needs Immediate Fix!

    My new Sony Alpha 6700 won't connect to the Sony Creators App or Imaging Edge Mobile. Countless users are facing the same issue, making it impossible to transfer images to smartphones. My older Alpha 6000 worked fine, but this new camera is completely unsupported by both apps. Sony, please address this problem immediately—your customers deserve better!

  • Total junk

    Bought a brand new Sony A6700. Setup steps says download this app and then finish setting up camera. But app can’t connect to camera. Sony support says make sure you have latest firmware- done. Then checked my iPhones software and said your phone can’t have an OS later than 17.3, current iOS release is 17.6. So have to have latest software on camera but phone must have not been updated in the last 6months! Sort it out Sony, if you insist we use this software make sure it works with current phone releases, or don’t advertise connecting your camera to a current phone.

  • Sony please fix this app

    Another terrible app from Sony, I was so hopeful that they would make a better iPhone app but this is next to unusable. Buggy, slow, always crashing.
  • Most useless app ever

    This is, without doubt, the worst app I have ever tried to use. Have tried multiple times to connect my a6700 with ZERO luck. Sony support is useless (takes forever, automated system is hopeless), and I have found little online or on YouTube to help. Have tried connecting via Bluetooth and WiFi, have restarted phone, have checked firmware. About 4 months age, I did have some limited success, but this time, No luck. There is a reason I prefer that other camera company(starts with a C).

  • Connection issue.

    I cannot get the app to connect to my camera with a USB. Connects via Bluetooth/wifi no problem but I want the fast , reliable cable option. Even after trying multiple times to reinstall the app, power my phone down and also camera too. All settings are correct on the camera and phone too. In the app it asks to allow files and folders in privacy/security but the app will not show up. I’m unable to proceed to the what I think is the final step in connecting. Big let down….

  • Absolute garbage.

    All I want to do is add GPS location to my images. Sony says use the IEM app, but the IEM app opens this garbage instead. And still, nothing works. This is the kind of user experience that makes people switch to Canon.
  • Absolutely not working app

    App can’t connect to a7r5, nothing works app restart, phone restart, camera restart. Sony did you try to hire normal QA team?!
  • Demands full photo library access even to import photos

    [I struggled to give Bluetooth access, but that is because I needed to allow apps to request it, within Settings > Screen Time > Content and Privacy. After changing that, the app could request Bluetooth access.]

    The app technically worked for me to import a few photos over WiFi, but it is functionally unusable. As many other reviews have said, this app continually demands full photo library access. Why?? Apps don’t need that full access to save photos to my library, yet this one refuses to import any photos unless it has FULL access to my personal library of 20k+ photos. Are they trying to vacuum up my personal and private data, or is it just lazy app development? I granted access to import a few photos, then revoked it. Hopefully they didn’t steal much of my data in that window.

  • Unpredictable Connectivity to 7RM5

    Hmmm where to start, it did work with unpredictable connectivity, I’m unsure if the update has caused more problems as I seem to be unable to connect to the camera which has the latest firmware installed too. (Ver 2.02). I’m guessing I’ll have to use my PC but preferably would want to use my iPad Pro in the field but I guess not at present. Are Sony going to fix it so it actually works reliably.

  • Keeps logging out

    Great app, great to be able to get photos to phone and control camera, but it keeps logging out when you want to use your camera remote. Real pain when you are in a remote area. For that reason along it is 1 star; if it had an easy way of using without logging in it would be closer to 5.
