  • Terrible

    For first few weeks I had to login with my normal login, Face ID and my pin. Taking way longer than necessary. For over a week now it won’t even let me login. Telling me my password is incorrect when it isn’t as I log in to internet banking with the same one. Pathetic service from the bank. Shouldn’t be allowed a new app without thorough testing first. I’m about ready to change banks.

  • Pathetic

    How is it that my credentials are wrong? Except they’re right. But every time I try to load the app and use it, it tells me I’m putting the wrong information in. But I’m not. What the hell?!
    If I could rate this zero stars I would. It’s completely inconvenient, and locks me out of being able to do payments and banking on my phone.
    It’s a joke. Absolute joke.
    I’m going to take my money elsewhere - to a bank that has an app that works.

  • Same as everyone else

    I have been with Police Credit Union (now Police Bank) since 1997. Never had an issue until this new app. Almost to schedule each week it boots me out and I have to contact. Same reported issue of incorrect credentials, but can log on via computer. Last time I was told it might be something I’m doing like swiping out on my iPhone 14. Police Bank we have better use of our time than contacting you to reset a password each week. You know there is a problem. Fix it..

  • Yep, still garbage.

    You’d think after receiving countless one star reviews about its new app, a company would do something to improve it, but in the case of the Police Bank you’d be wrong.

    If like me, you get used to the convenience of facial recognition and forget your password, you’ll find yourself locked out of your own money. That’s because the police bank app suddenly stopped using facial recognition, and for some reason swapped to using the most insecure password format (all lower case with no special characters). The only solution to forgetting your password and getting back in? Call them. That’s great! Except it isn’t, because the staff are business hours, obviously. So when it’s the evening or weekend, no internet banking for you Mr fancy pants 21st century future boy. You just take a long walk back to the days of sepia photos and queue up at the bank tellers desk with your hand written account book.

    I had high hopes for the Police Bank when I joined. I really did. But I’m left wondering what they offer me now. Like what’s special about them? The app just stresses me out. I use them to set money aside for my daughter, and to save a deposit for a house, but I’m thinking I can do that with ING or similar. Anyway, hope it improves for the rest of you. I live too far in the future to settle for the more traditional style of banking where you have to wait until days off through the week to manage your money.

  • Changes for Apple Pay & banking app

    Cannot read the numbers on the card in Apple Pay. I have two PB cards - same colour, numbers in white are hard to read. Perhaps look at changing the colours if you have multiple cards, or making the numbers easier to read? Also the app - still not good. After 25 years close to leaving the bank, dissatisfied with the app. I thought would have been fixed by now.

  • Can’t even log in

    As in other comments there are many issues with this app. A further one arising is that you are unable to actually log in to it. My credentials are correct and are confirmed on the online internet banking when I log in. This has been raised however no reply or attempt to contact has been made by the bank. I thought the old one was no good but this tops the cake.

  • Basically unusable!

    This apps only useful function is to obtain bank balances. It is essentially useless for any other purpose. Internal and external transfers often fail to function or reverse themselves minutes later, login switches randomly in between PIN codes, facial recognition and passwords, the app crashes frequently with server errors, the card PIN change option doesn’t work even though it says it does, which could result in your card being seized at an ATM if you use the wrong PIN. Also PayID numbers won’t save to personal payee lists. The list goes on. You’re better off just using the banks web address to do online banking rather than this app.

  • Can’t even use

    Have given this app weeks, through “Updates” and all. The app “Worked” in the sense that I could log in after spending a number of hours on hold having to call the bank for help to log in…. And huge delays in my balances being displayed correctly. Final statement today when suddenly I’m thrown out of it, there is a “Server error” and now the app doesn’t recognise my credentials to log back in. Currently contacting another bank to transfer all funds and close my 15 years of business with police bank.

  • Over a month since released, still terrible

    I had hoped that with the update the other week, some issues would have been resolved. Unfortunately it doesn’t look that way. Still don’t know how much is actually in my accounts without logging in via internet banking. How does the app just not mirror what is in the banks system?? This seems most basic to me.

  • It doesn’t work on my iPad

    I bought a new iPad, have all current updates and installed all data, apps etc from my old iPad. Then also installed the new Police banking app. I can’t login - get error message that tells me my details are wrong yet with the same app on my iPhone and also internet banking I can login. I have deleted, reinstalled the app several times, turned the iPad off and on to no avail. Spoke to police bank app support who were no help at all. Not happy Jan!
