Terrible remote, worse app
Smart Control Pro remote is junk and doesn’t connect to the app. Tried multiple iOS devices and finally got it to connect. Only to encounter the worst setup UI in the world - and it still won’t connect to my tv. Terrible. Avoid at all costs. Suspicious of all the other reviews in here that are positive.

Doesn’t work
I bought a new remote and this app is a horrible user experience. The AI chat interface flat out doesn’t work. It won’t update the remote. It won’t allow me to retry when it fails so I have to delete the app and reinstall it every time I want to retry.
In the end it didn’t work and I have to return the remote.

Absolute hot garbage
This is quite possibly the worst configuration app I've ever used. The "assistant" doesn't understand or use any commands beyond what the guided flow offers you. If a device setup fails, it just says "oops, try again." And when I try again it thinks there are active devices and doesn't resume the setup process that failed. When I try going to "My Devices" post failure, it says "No devices." Uninstalling and reinstalling allows me to get back to the setup but when it finds my device it wants to update the remote but then fails with the same "oops, try again later" garbage.

Easy setup!
Easy and fast setup. Took less than 2 mins after downloading the app to setup my Samsung smart tv to the one for all smart control pro remote. Highly recommend. Uses 4 triple A batteries.

I opened the package and put the batteries in , downloaded the app instructions and had the remote working in less than five minutes

Why is this a chat app?
Why can’t you just show me a picture of the remote and settings via button presses. The chat app is not intuitive and is a pain to use. After some playing the remote is half doing what I want and it’s not worth the effort fighting with the level one tech support bot in this app to try and set it up any further.
