Love the concept, a little glitchy

The first few days were good. Now a screen pops up every few seconds to interrupt me, even though I click on “remind me in five minutes.” Since installing it, I can sometimes not open the apps that have a budget—the icon disappears from my screen and doesn’t pop up when I search (note, I have not gone over budget when this happens). I hope these issues can be fixed, because I’ll have to uninstall soon if this keeps happening, and I really WANT the app to work!

Nothing without Pro

As all apps nowadays, there’s a free version and a paid, subscription version. I knew i wouldn’t get much with the free version, but it literally only lets you track your time on one app. That really doesn’t help me whatsoever. And, as much as i like the idea behind this app, I’m not gonna pay for something that is supposed to just tell me to stay off my phone.

Good, Minus the Language

This was a great app, until it flashed the f word across my phone. I have kids who frequently sit with me. I was shocked! It would have been 5 stars otherwise.

I love the timers and notifications, they’re far more effective than the Screen time app, but the app is so buggy and misreports the time you spend on apps, the budgets don’t actually work and the sound doesn’t work on the apps you select for your budgets. If it worked properly it would be a great app. Hopefully improvements are made and I’d love it!

I love the idea, but it’s buggy.

The free version of the app has a lag in tracking my screen time. I’ve noticed, though I set it to interrupt me every 5m, at the beginning of the day it will let me scroll 20m or more without sending an interruption. When I’m past the limit and want 5 more mins, I press the 5 more mins button and another interruption comes up 15s later.

This is definitely not selling me on upgrading to the paid version.

Good idea but gets really annoying

I wanted something to stop me using Instagram so much, but the built in screen time was too easy to skip. I like how this works, you can choose the tone (eg it can be informative or roast you) but the reminders are too frequent. Sometimes it’ll remind me 3 times in one go and I get fed up having to keep getting rid of the reminders. Then it started glitching and the reminder kept coming and going without me clearing it. Sometimes I just want to scroll for 20 minutes without reminders every 5 minutes. I’d like the possibility to choose the frequency of reminders because every 5 minutes is really annoying

Cannot delete account

I tried the app, it’s good and well created but I learnt it wasn’t for me. Not the apps fault, just personally didn’t work for me. I was ready to rate it highly as I can see the benefit to others. However I have been trying to delete my account and contacted them directly through the support button, but this is apparently not possible until enough people request an account deletion so they can do so in a batch. This app now has access to my phone even though I no longer want it to. Please do consider this before downloading the Wellspent app to your phone and giving it access to your data as you might not be able to reverse this.

Amazing concept, very buggy

Got the paid version of this app and absolutely loved it. The total customisation options are great and it reduced my screen time by a lot. After the first few days however, I started to notice major bugs. Sometimes the notifications would pop up continuously and not go away and other times the sound of whatever app I was in would stop working after a Wellspent notification. I’ve cancelled my subscription because of the bugs but would happily resubscribe after improvements are made.

Absolutely brilliant

I got an ad for this and decided to try it out. I have ADHD and my iPhone’s screen time app just doesn’t cut it. Wellspent is stopping me in my tracks with fun, strict but kind messages that make me way more mindful of my scrolling. I’ve significantly reduced my screen time which has helped me focus at work and be more present day-to-day. Thank you so much to whoever created this app!
