  • I’m So Confused

Just bought a new grill and the instructions say under wifi pairing to download the app and create an account. I did both those things and received the email confirmation. Then going back into the app and trying to log in it’s saying that the customer isn’t found. This is not going very well.
  • Awful, awful frustrating app.

It’s basically just a mobile version of their site, that doesn’t work or display content. No session management, no ability to get assistance. Very frustrating to use.
  • Cannot update grill.

grill hangs up at 42% every time I try to update.
Due to moving house, my grill had been switched off for sometime and I was still using the smoke it app before it was shut down. That worked fine.

When restarted grill it would not work so Downloaded the LouisianaGrills app. but before I can use it says I must update the grill. The update fails every time. It goes quite quickly to 42% complete and then stops at 42% and just hangs up.

Tried customer support they just said it must be a problem with my Wi-Fi. That makes no sense of the download partly works.

Very frustrating as I now have a long remote grow and I was the last review said when he spent over £2000 I grow you think you might get a better customer service/app experience.

  • Message Center?

My app is showing a message (red dot 1)
    How do I retrieve it??
    Very weird
  • Slow to connect

New Black Label 4 series. Takes forever to get connected to WIFI and then won’t reconnect.

Should be able to connect to 5ghz as well as 2.4 poor execution on this app.
  • Can’t connect my grill

I had to replace my control board because it kept randomly shutting down completely.
    (no cooldown)

Now my grill doesn’t want to connect to the app. Doesn’t want to connect to any network for that matter.

    Shoulda gone for the Traeger.
  • First Brisket!!

Got through my first brisket, strange the set temp 250 around 2am changed to 180 for an hour before I noticed. Not sure if it’s smoker or app related. Set temp on probe 2 with app no problem. Probe one has to be set on the smoker, weird.

Zero notification when you approach, reach, or exceed the set temp. Yes all iPhone settings are turned up and on for the app to notify me.

Zero Graphing, zero export data that is a real bummer. Had to order a product made by someone else to achieve that. Hopefully that will be added one day.

Probe not a big deal but something to fix.

No graphing or data export those are a big deal for me. That’s why 2 stars

  • Works fine for me

It all works: bluetooth, wifi connection. Setting probes, setting timers and temp.
Another review mentioned not being able to set probe temp, but if you are in the settings for the probe, clicking the temp should pop up your keypad to enter a new temp, not as intuitive as it could be but it works.

My suggestion for improvement would be a time series graph so you can see temps of probes over time with a estimating line to your probes set temp so you can estimate the time

  • Has the right look.

Need work on the notifications of cook set temps that’s pretty much the whole point of having a WIFI grill. Also, the icons on the top centre don’t seem to work. Hope that this is laying the ground work for things to come.
  • Terrible app - missing even the basics

Can’t set a multistage timer from the app but worse than that, if you set a multi-stage timer via the panel, it does not show anything on the app. Not even notifications that a stage change has occurred- are you kidding me? No graph of your cook. You know the temperature, this should be simple to graph - what is going on? Please fix these basic things
