  • Overwhelming, confusing, preys on ADHDers

    I started a trial of Clarify through an instagram ad, which I shouldn’t have done. But it took advantage of my impulsivity. The app is overwhelming with a cluttered home screen and tons of different visuals. The activities come through with animations where the speed can’t be controlled, so I would read the screen and be waiting for awkward beats for the next part of a sentence.

    I disagree with the idea of a paid trial and shouldn’t have signed up to begin with. The app tells you how much it costs them to pay their team during the trial. I get this in concept, but your product should be great enough that the conversion rate to paid subscriptions sustains the operation without asking people to pay in just to try. It’s portrayed as pay what you want, but I didn’t see an option to pay $0.

    Also, you have to unsubscribe online instead of being able to manage it through your settings on your phone like other apps. This seems intentionally difficult and like a way to ensure people forget about the trial and pay for an auto renewal.

    Overall, I was so overwhelmed by the animations and options that I couldn’t get started and instantly found the app demotivating. I also felt ashamed that I impulsively spent money on yet another thing marketed towards ADHD, which is known to cause impulsive spending and seems to be a target for so many companies.

  • Very insightful and encouraging

    I am the type that starts a tasks and then I end up getting distracted when I walk into another room where things need to be done and I end up doing that. Or there’s a thought I can’t let go of- and this is very helpful for setting attainable goals for the day. I’m newly disabled due to a car accident that included brain bleeds- so this helps keep me online and allows space for intrusive thoughts.

  • Not bad, room for improvement

    I see potential in this app, but it's often unclear how to progress. The landing page is a bit overwhelming (cluttered), and even though the app badge shows notifications, upon opening the app, there is no indication of how to view them or what they apply to.

    Secondly, I want to be able to explore other journeys, at least to get a sense for what they entail, without having to abandon my current journey. And, as someone who has gotten a fairly good handle on my ADHD prior to learning about this app, I don't need to start at the very beginning. I'd like an option for a journey along a more developed path. I'll be checking in occasionally to see if this ever happens. Until then, I'm not sold.

  • Ohhh no you ADHD didn’t!!!

    Thank you for creating a space to help me facilitate the goals and desires I have to be productive and “normal” while living with ADHD. As a female in my 40’s the masking of symptoms learned in school and society taught me I had to hide because I would be considered shameful and unworthy. Your beautiful app lets me become and use my ADHD as the super power it is!!!! I do not anymore mask I do not hide anymore my diagnosis that put me on the spectrum. The spectrum is a rainbow of future Marvel X-men and X-Women creating a new world! Don’t hold back be bold and become!! That is what I have learned from this appand what I am thankful for!

  • Profits off of “ADHD tax”

    Honestly I think this app took advantage of my ADHD. I first tried out the Fabulous app, which was so aesthetically pleasing, it lead me to try Clarity as well. Although it’s so pretty to scroll through, it’s overwhelmingly confusing. It reels ADHD minds in by being new, cute, and full of promises, but is actually so difficult to use, so we move on and forget about it, then get a huge app charge of $40 (which is for just 3 months too) after just a 7 day trial. I SWEAR when I signed up, it had a promise that they’d allow a refund with no questions asked, to make it more ADHD friendly, which made me less worried and conscious about the trial ending. Apparently not because they immediately denied my refund request. They also make it very challenging to find where to unsubscribe (have to use the website, which works poorly, instead of the app). I can’t tell the difference between Fabulous and Clarity and they BOTH charged me $40. So I’m out $80 and feel like a fool. Real helpful for a person with the type of brain you claim to support.

  • Maybe the best app in the world

    I am someone who needs a lot of help. A few days ago I started a fabulous account and quickly navigated to the additional apps that fabulous offers. I tryout new apps a lot always looking for something I can have quick access to that might help me. These apps are everything. It’s as if someone developed these apps with me in mind! Someone who needs help with their daily routine building themselves up from the bottom, daily coaching for my ADHD, identifying and overcoming trauma, and finding purpose in life! These are absolutely wonderful. When i realized that I only have a week trial in the trauma app last night my stomach was instantly in knots. I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever came across something this helpful to me in my life. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep accessing these wonderful tools through the year! To the creator of these apps.   • PREDATORY - DO NOT USE - CHARGED $120

    This company is down right predatory on people with ADHD. Not only is the content useless but the free trial and refund policy are a complete scam. I spent most of the free trial week trying to cancel my account but was still charged $60 and NOT THROUGH APPLE but straight through credit card info. In the process of trying to get that refunded I was charged again and there is no email confirmation nor billing info on the website or app and I am unable to track it. I’m talking to others who have used this app and most were “not eligible for a refund because it is in the terms and conditions”. Stay as far away as you can from this app and the others provided by this company.

  • Not Practical for everyday use and expensive

    Update: This is what contacting the company is like - in short they send you nonsense as a reply.

    My question to the company support: Can you enter Centering events for future dates?

    Original Review: This app costs a lot and you can’t enter future things to do. It becomes obsolete or a burden because you either have to spend extra time everyday entering duplicate information OR you have to use another app to keep track of appointments. Use the free trial everyday and then unsubscribe. Everything the app has to offer can be learned in the two weeks. After that it’s useless. Update: The developer never responds when contacted. You are put in an AI chat and then you enter your email and then they never contact you. VERY EXPENSIVE for zero support and limited usefulness. STAY AWAY.

  • Surprisingly helpful, a few app improvements desired

    I actually really love this app. The suggestions and structure it provides has been motivating and supportive, I have been using it for like 2 weeks and already notice an improvement in my executive functioning and ways I support myself!

    The only thing is I get a little frustrated/overwhelmed by all the buttons and options on the dashboard. When I click Centering it takes me to writing out tasks for my day- which I like to do- but it’s confusing because other places in the app centering is meditation/focus music. I wish I could click centering and get a meditation/focus prep and then have another button for planning my deep work room.

    Also, it’s hard for me to find the account settings home/my profile. I actually have not been able to find the button at all!

    Overall, however, a great app I will continue to use

  • I got scammed

    I really love the Fabulous app, and have been a member for almost a year. Decided to try out this app, and even though I have photo evidence of “no questions asked refund, even if you forget to cancel,” I GOT CHARGED $90 even though I attempted to cancel. There is almost no content, compared to the Fabulous app. They said to make a refund request through the App Store, they denied it. PLEASE GIVE MY MONEY BACK! This company is overseas, and I haven’t heard anything back. I am so upset about this, I’m a low income mom with adhd, was just hoping for a helpful app, not getting conned. I’ve spent 3+ hours on the phone over various days this week with Apple support supervisors. The only thing they can recommend is to keep contacting the Fabulous company, and to try to email corporate. I am so frustrated and angry.
