  • Teething pains

    I had high hopes for the app and I just set up the system so it’s taking a little to get used to compared to my last system.

    ***One thing I absolutely miss is the ability to see ALL of the time stamped events (doors, windows etc),that were open and closed throughout the day, when the alarm was armed, when it was disarmed etc. Please include this “activity log” of ALL sensors on the next update in the “Events” tab. ***

    Another strange thing is the flood/freeze sensors show up twice. Once as I named them and again as their original names; I.E. Flood 1, Flood 2 etc. This is just weird.

    Overall, the interface is a bit “clunky” and needs some refinement. Please continue to update and improve.
  • Disappointed

    Right now the app tells me there is an update every time I open it. This would be helpful but there is no update so instead it is annoying. There is no easy way to report this small bug.
    Regardless of how strong the wifi signal is at the house and where my phone is, the cameras take so long to connect that I can never see what triggered them.
  • Update is not working

    I've been trying to update the new version. Whenever I click the Update and goes to Apple app, the update button is not there. It only says Open. This is frustrating. I already uninstalled and installed the app but nothing works. We cannot even log back because it's always error. Hoping they'll fix this issue.
  • Not what was advertised

    Pros: Easy to instal the hub and panel. Easy to install the sensors. Easy to set up.
    Cons: Their camera system is garbage. They use a company called Eufey cameras. They do not integrate well at all with the cove connect app. Customer service tried to help but got upset when I called them out on using an inferior product.

    Overall experience with customer service was not positive at all. I’m sorry to sound like an ugly American but their representatives were not easy to understand at all and got very upset with my frustration. Please note that I was not happy with them on the phone but also I was not calling anyone names or cursing at them. Not a professional experience at all. Don’t waste your time with these people if you want your security system and camera system integrated. They just have not figured it out yet and that is why I am giving one star even though there are some positive aspects.
  • App Crashes

    The app crashes seconds after opening. I can’t access my cameras or the system remotely because it won’t stay open long enough to view. I’ve reached out to support but was told they would just forward my information to technical support. Super frustrating!!
  • Constantly displaying system offline

    This app is terrible. I cannot operate my system with the app because it displays system offline daily. The techs at Cove are useless in solving this problem. I am told that it must be my Internet, but everything else that I try online works and have great upload and download speed. The app needs work!

    app keeps crashing. I’ve complained to customer support twice now. they keep telling me to be patient but this has been happening for a month now.
    the app is pretty much useless. considering switching to another security system at this point.

    ** the app continues to crash after latest update. Customer support is responsive, however there’s not much they can do other than pass it onto development. The app issues aren’t instilling the greatest confidence for me with this system.

    I have had Cove since 2020, and it has worked good for the most part. However about a weeks ago, I have not been able to use the app on my phone. The moment I open the app, it shuts back off. I have reached out to customer service and still have not heard back from them. Very frustrating not being able to view all the camera I have or use the app.
  • Downgrade

    Was force to upgrade to the new panel and app due to the old one was having communication problem. The whole thing is a joke. First, it would take 7-14 days for the new panel to arrive; 7-14 days without the security system but yet still have to pay for the service and the upgrade itself. Second, new panel volume was very low compared to the old one. And many sensors are not compatible 🙄 Third, new app doesn’t show activities which the old app I could see when and which doors and windows are opened or closed.

    You would think the upgrade would make things better but so far everything is worse.

Alternatives to Cove Connect
