  • Excellent app!

This app is great. I don’t normally review apps, but this one really helps.

Hi there, I'm really surprised by this-- I read every single support email we receive--I don't think I have seen yours. Did you email info@, support@, tim.smits@ or contact us some other way? Also, if the app is unresponsive, I'd like to help resolve that as I haven't heard this complaint from others and wouldn't want it to happen to anyone else. Please send us a mail at tim.smits@unpluq.com or any of the other addresses here so I can help. Update: Could you please check that you're on the latest version of iOS? The unresponsive complaints we've had over the last months were all people using iOS 16 and were resolved by upgrading.
  • Exciting

Can’t wait to take control! Just signed up and feels very aspirational new-age with me setting up the distractions that are to come (I permanently [ie selected “all day”] blocked various apps …. What will happen on shake mode….or random!?

Customer service could have been better. The license system needs to be fixed to prevent giving two different customers the same license key because it will not work for the second customer if the code was already redeemed on the other person’s account. The app itself is good. The premium offers a limit of 49 apps blocked which is better than 2 in the free version. The app shines with the Tap Tag. It’s well boxed and protected in transit. It has a good feel to it as well and comes with a connector to connect it to keys or a backpack. Would like to see unlimited app’s blocking like the android app. Maybe that will be added sometime in the future. The tap tag comes in a nice gift box with a little instruction card insert. It is shipped in a protective mailer to keep it in good condition during shipping.

Hi Joseph, I'm really surprised by your review. Our small team of 3 people responded to you personally and always within hours or minutes to the 18 emails you sent us over a handful of days. Further, on December 8, a Friday night at 9:34pm you requested a refund by saying, "you can refund $66 dollars of the money I paid and I will keep the software and you guys send the key and I will be a happy customer or else just give me a full refund" --> we refunded you in full at 3:16pm on December 9, Saturday, less than 24h later. I wish you the best and hope you find a solution that suits you.

I bought the lifetime subscription to their app and then it said my code was already used. I reached out to the support person and co founder and she questioned if I followed instructions and tells me that I will have to wait because she’s on a trip. Turns out their license system sent out the same code to two people and according to the other cofounder it’s a fluke. The website charges $35 for VAT I’m not in a VAT country. The compensation for their buggy license system is a free month of premium to give as a gift because I had a lifetime subscription… yeah no thank you. I requested a refund still waiting…
  • It does the job you’re looking for. Worth the money.

great for keeping me away from my screen when I need. highly recommend for students and professionals.

a few convenience issues that honestly don’t interfere with my use of the app, though

buggy UI: when I’m trying to do work on my website/app block list, it keeps glitching out and not letting me edit or change things. the display will hide or become unresponsive

flexibility issues: I would like to be able to set amounts of time I can spend on things as well as chunk out periods where i can’t access them at all.

occasionally just doesn't work: sometimes my stuff just straight up isn’t blocked, which is confusing.

website problems: i use facebook messenger to connect with friends and family, but i have a problem with accessing mobile facebook through safari. you cannot block one without blocking the other, however. this likely isn’t something the developers can change unless they were to do specific work with facebooks API or whatever. IDK i don’t code.

for what it is the devs have done a great job. i recommend this to people in my daily life all the time. its helped me pry myself away from my screen and get better sleep.
  • This is the only screen reduction app that has ever worked

Get premium. Get the RFID tag. If you’re serious about reducing your screen time, this is the app you’ve been looking for.

Just set your anti-distraction schedule, then leave the RFID tag that lets you break that schedule in a hard-to-reach area. I leave my tag at work when I go home and set my blocked apps schedule to engage when I go home. I’m present with my family and my devices are less tethered to me. It’s worth the money. You get your life back.

Thank you for sharing how you are using your Tag and how you manage it in your life! So glad to hear your life is back in your hands.
  • How buggy can an app be?

It shouldn’t take me 10 minutes to select apps from a list. I’ll tap on an app and the list will disappear.
Very poor experience and I’m not even past the setup yet

    Developer Response

Hi, thanks for letting me know--this is a known bug affecting a few people with Apple's Screen Time API that we have reported to them. If you restart your phone, and try again, it should help. Also, try using the search function instead of the list option to circumvent this problem, too. If you need more help, I'm happy to help at tim.smits@unpluq.com -- Thanks for your understanding.
