Hats off to the team at Unpluq! This app uses the screen time API to generate schedules to block apps. At first I was a little skeptical, like why not just use screen time right? Well I didn’t know how lacking the built-in screen time part of iOS was! The interaction to unlock apps with Unpluq is more helpful than the stock Apple option of just “request more time” . The free trial only blocks 2 apps but it was enough for me to see that it works and I decided to upgrade to premium. 👏

Hi there, thanks so much for taking the time to leave feedback here. You're right re: free version, it's just two apps--but you can get free premium by referring others. Re: you couldn't see your phones apps, this is a bug we had with Apple's Screen Time API which we depend on. We've fixed it, but have been waiting a couple weeks for the update to be approved and released on the App Store. I hope you'll give us another shot when it's available--we're a team of 3, and as you suspected, we're trying to help folks with their phones. Thanks again for taking the time to leave feedback. After buying the $50/year premium subscription it started to malfunction (I can’t open the open without it crashing). Have not been able to fix despite restarting my device, closing the app, etc.
For reference, I’m using a new iPhone 14 Pro.

Also, can you please reach out to me directly so we can help troubleshoot this? tim.smits@unpluq.com --this is definitely not normal and I'd like to check a few settings and permissions and then escalate from there to get it fixed. We're really responsive on email. Having to shake my phone in public to access my blocked apps (social media) really deters me. Works wonders.
it won’t let me pick apps to block none of the drop down menus wired and i can’t search for apps on my phone to block

Hi, thanks so much for letting us know you had a problem with the app. This has been fixed in the latest version (it was impacting a few folks, like yourself). It was an issue with the Screen Time interface from Apple that we depend on and we were able to provide a workaround--let me know if you encounter any other issue and I'll be happy to help you at tim.smits@unpluq.com. I have the free version of the app but when I try to select the two apps I want to block it isn’t letting me.

This app has changed my life for the better. I’m also really happy to support excellent developers. They are very honest, and hardworking and have given iPhone users who supported original funding an extra three months of premium for the extra wait we had Vs the android app. They ask for feedback and truly take into consideration what their users give back. You can tell they just want to help people with their great idea and honestly they’ve changed my life for the better. I plan to use this app for as long as I can and have told many friends about it!
