  • Really helps reduce non productive device time

I have the version with the tag and it really helps me lower my idle consumption of Facebook and Instagram in a painless way.
  • Helps me reclaim my day and peace of mind

I literally don’t get out of bed without Unpluq in the morning. I was invited to the iOS closed beta, and have been able to retrain my habits for the past few weeks.

When I don’t use Unpluq (ex: Fri April 14th) my screentime tracks at 6hr 19mins.

    Messages/SMS 3hrs

    Instagram 1hr

    Gmail 1hr

    LinkedIn 45s

Using Unpluq my screen time is down 35%

    Daily average 2hr 14mins

My April 17th (Monday) screentime total time 2hrs 14 mins

Total time on Social is 1hr 6mins

    Messages (SMS/text) 38m

    Instagram: 13m

    LinkedIn: 5m

    WhatsApp: 7m

When I use Unpluq my productivity skyrockets, and my mood is overall better. I reclaim the lost minutes from social media (I turn off LinkedIn, Blind, Reddit, Instagram, for those are my key distractors throughout the day). Unpluq gives me access again after the work day.

I have three schedules that I created that I use:

    One for the work week
    One for the weekend
A 24-hr block when I want to restrict all distractions
When I do not use Unpluq I fall back into old patterns and ended up doom scrolling the morning LinkedIn, news and checking emails. When I turned Unpluq back on, it kicks in at 7am, and I was out of bed by 7:05. Its like a second layer of an alarm clock to get up and get focused. I reclaim my morning, focus on what I need to for myself and household, and give myself the needed separation from work and news in the morning. So I can reclaim my peace of mind when I start my day.

  • Hopeful!

(Updated) I tested this app and had a few issues with.
    1. Website blocking only works for safari, so if you have multiple browsers or use a different browser, workaround may be easy. I know that people will have already uninstalled apps they want to block, but still use the browser version instead, so I would like to see this as a feature.
    2. Rather than having a search feature for your apps, they sort apps by category. There is some guess and check until you find your app.
    3. There is no direct way to select website, you need to open the website in your browser and then it will be added to a category (usually “other”) for you to select.

Be sure to read their iOS app FAQ on their website.

Hi, Thanks for your feedback. A couple of features you may not be aware of, in response to your notes: - Search apps and websites: when selecting apps or websites to block, you can search the categories for specific apps or sites--this is only possible with iOS 16.4, so please be sure to update your iOS version as Apple made updates to the API we depend on - Re-blocking apps after unblocking: you can change the Unblock Timer to be as many or few minutes as you want, so that when you manually unblock apps, they will automatically reblock after this period of time. The default is 5 minutes. - Website blocking: this is private on your phone and not provided by Unpluq; if you don't see a website you want to block, visit in Safari, then try again, and it should show up in the selection list--this is how the less than 1 year old Apple Screen Time API works to preserve your privacy but provide these options. As you know, we try to be very responsive via support and as a team of 3, do our best to respond to every query within 24 hours on weekdays. Appreciate your early support.
