  • No good on iPhone4

Essentially a very good and flexible database that I have used variously on Palm and iPhone PDAs: it had the advantage that it could be transferred, with its data, as new PDAs were purchased.
It has always been fiddly to synchronise with Macs.
But the latest version seems to be buggy on iPhone 4 and I have had major hassles trying to sync it and recently it froze on my iPhone after I tried to delete an entry and essentially locked itself up and the app had to be deleted.
My advice: stay away if you are not already locked in.

  • Password reset at every start

My iPhone I running ios4. Every time I kill this app, and re open it, the master password is reset. So basically anybody can have access to all my secret datas inside the app. I will try to delete this app and re install it again to see if this problem persists. I hav just bought this app today and I input all my passwords in it. I'm very disappointed by this glitch. I will edit this review when the glith is fixed. And I spent $44 coz I bought the desktop version as well to sync. Mac version crashes very often, it crashes everytime I try to export the .vid file. So basically, this app is huge disappointment. I ll get my money back from this company because my Mac version crashes, and it's as bad. Ok now, I have just received the refund for the Mac version from SplashData, very quick response to my email and no question refund. Very good customer service people. I'll edit the review when things go right.

  • An old favourite, now improved

I was previously a user of SplashID on Palm OS and it was an essential application for me when I switched to the iPhone. The latest version (version 5) is a significant improvement on the earlier versions with a much improved interface and some improvements to sorting and access. It still falls short of the Palm OS version for me (in the areas of ease of input, selection and sorting) but these seem to be a product of limitations of the iPhone based on experience of several applications. It has always worked well in integrating the handheld and desktop and still does. Recommended, even for new users.

New version much improved in terms of stability and user friendliness. Now a truly excelent app and a must have for me. Still could be improved by loading usernames and passwords directly into pages when selecting internet links.
