  • Everything you need / unneeded detail

I found this app extremely useful to find suggested routes through the city. The interactive map is amazingly useful. However, the timing was unreliable. U just used their suggested routs, ignoring the useless precision to which the app claims the Berlin transport system follows (all the buses were late anyway and even the trams were off time a bit as compared to the app). Overall, it was an invaluable aid to our visit through the city.

  • Bad support

Dear developers: Just because you have the ability to update an app doesn't mean you should. -- the update is bad. Now included in the station search are stations and stops that are far outside of Berlin. When searching for a station I don't want to see bus stops in Frankfurt Oder. HALLO! We need an option of customizing search. Personally I don't need bus stops ever --so they only take up space in the table view. I wouldn't be surprised if the developers never used their apps as there are many small annoying oversights a daily user would notice.

    Advice: keep the old version.

  • Just horrible!

I never write reviews but I felt justified for this app. It's perhaps the worst UI app I've ever encountered. I've had to create 3 different accounts because for each one the password gets reset somehow but of course the reset pw doesn't work. Also some wise person decided to enable fraud verification for visa for < 2 euro transactions which means I have to call my credit card company to verify my identity before purchasing a < 2 euro train ticket. This totally defeats the purpose of a mobile app conveniency. I decided to verify my identity to only be asked to verify it again a couple days later when using the app again. I've then tried to add my bank account but get some "DTD are not supported by SOAP" error when tapping save. I give up!

Advice: Berlin has a ton of talented software engineers. Use them! This app is a horrible representation of your agency and city. Also, please hire Quality Assurance people because the errors that are occurring are amateur level.

  • Do NOT update, I switched to iFahrinfo instead, a much better app

No use in updating. They're heading in the right direction with the revamped design but you'll miss lots of useful tools. Download iFahrinfo instead, it has all the functions that they deleted here plus some improvements.

This app right now is useless. For example you can't see the station maps anymore, those that told you where the hell the TXL bus departed from in Alex or in Zoo.

You can't see walking maps anymore of how to get from the stop to your destination. You can't just quickly peek at the previous departure or the future departures, you can't check departures by stations as before in order to know when the bus would really arrive.

Don't upgrade and/or go fir the other app, much more useful right now.

  • Major Downgrade

I use this app multiple times a day. Although the newest version is a visual upgrade, it is a downgrade in most other ways. I can no longer see the actual bus times, so if my bus is running late, I am stuck waiting in the cold and not knowing when to expect the bus. This was a feature I used very often in the last version. Also, it no longer allows you to see routes only a bit earlier or a bit later than what you searched. I have already missed this feature three times in a day. To top all of this off, I can't buy monthly ticket or a year subscription with it, which I will need soon as I am on a semester ticket at the moment and finishing my studies in two months. I want to go back to the old app!!

  • Downgraded

This last update has unfortunately downgraded the app. I am missing the possibility to select earlier and later options. One now always has to go back and reenter the time. A big decrease in usability. And also the night network map is missing.
  • pretty good

The maps and nearby station feature are very helpful. However, it's too bad you can't use the connections or departures features if you don't have international roaming or wifi. If I could use those, even if it wasn't realtime information, it would easily get 5 stars.
  • a must have for iPhones in Berlin!

No more wondering if I have time to catch the next train, or where to find a night bus stop. If you live in or visit Berlin, then you know that it truly is a 24 hour city. And it's great to be able to leave a club at 5am and instantly know what public transportation options are available (€2.10), rather than just grabbing a taxi (€10)!

  • Fantastic Free App

While it is a little buggy, I used this app on a 2G AT&T iPhone and it worked amazingly well. Even as a first time visitor to Berlin, I was able to use it to navigate a number of trips using multiple U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains.
  • Great idea & concept, need work!

Hard to complain as it's free, but this app needs a lot of work. It's a great idea; location dependent or manual schedule search for the Berlin Public Transport. Problem is that it's buggy. Manual search does not work correctly, display is off, there are link issues.
