  • 5 Stars but Bad Changes to Player Page

Love the app, but disappointed by the recent changes to the player profile pages. Instead of showing a player’s full career stats, it now only shows the past 5 seasons. Also, instead of showing the player’s height, weight, birth date, college, salary, and draft info on the default Summary tab, you know have to scroll all the way to the right to click on a new “Bio” tab. Please revert back to how it was 🙂

  • Recent stats makes no sense

New update shows "recent stats" instead of just showing the players entire career when you click on them. You now need to click on stats to see all of them, and then if you want to find out how old they are, when they were drafted, etc. you need to click on bio. Makes no sense why you'd make it more difficult to find out things about a player. Keep the first page as it used to be, with their career stats and bio on it. Then keep all the other new tabs you added in case we want to see more about the player. But usually it's their career stats and bio, so why make it harder to find that info? Everyone I know who uses this app has said the same thing. It makes no sense. Other than that it's a great app though always has been, but this is a bad direction to take

  • Widget no longer shows past scores

Edit: the widget has been updated to show yesterday’s score. Thank you!

Enjoyed this app for years, but now I’m looking for an alternative. The widget used to show yesterday’s scores, but now only shows future games and current scores. Now if I tap the widget, it takes way too many clicks to find yesterday’s scores. I also like the twitter feed but hate that longer posts are truncated, forcing me to leave the app to see them.

  • Intrusive Ads

I’ve used this app for years and I liked it very much but recently it seems like the ads have become ultra sensitive to touch. When I’m scrolling through the news feed It will almost always open up the ad content which requires you wait for the ad to load then hit the teeny tiny back button to get back to the news feed. Oddly the stories themselves aren’t as sensitive to accidental touches. Hmm…If I was a more cynical person I would guess that the developers made them more sensitive so they would get more as revenue from ads opening up from the accidental touches. I really did like this app but am going to search for a replacement. This is highly irritating and seems more than a little shady.

  • Seriously?

I love being able to watch live NFL games in market, but tonight when I clicked on a link the app gave me about a story I was interested in I discovered the app won’t show me pictures or videos inside of the story unless I let it track what I’m doing when I’m using other apps. This is pathetic. I’ll use the app to watch nfl games when I’m away from the house but obviously yahoo doesn’t care to be a reliable sports news source unless they can have all of my data from everything I use on my phone. Get F’ed, I’ll rely on other apps for my sports news, regardless of whether or not yahoo broke it. No other sports app goes this far to flex their Big Brother muscles.

  • Great app minus pop up ads in articles

This is my go to app for sports. Simple for scores, shows live games, easy to track etc. Great app overall including the news articles.

Biggest issue is that the news articles are pulled from sources all across the country (not a bad thing). But when you click on most of the articles, there’s like 10 pop up ads even on iPhone. They take over the screen and you can’t even read the dam article. Super annoying.

  • Not worthy of your time.

Accidentally discovered I could watch NFL on this app. Wow! Happiness quickly destroyed by yahoo business model…which of course comes via the CEO, CFO, et. al. The second time I tried to watch game, app demanded I disable my WiFi…WTF? I’ve never had an app require I disable WiFi. Well…I did. Then tried to reload. Then I saw another error message never before seen: “the video is taking too long to start”. LOL! A part of me wanted to continue my journey into the nether world of Yahoo business practices…but alas…I have a job to get to. I have provided here a turnkey script for someone w talent to create very funny satire. That’s not me! But I hope someone reading this does.

  • Best app for sports but could be improved.

The app can be buggy at times. If your location is off and you enter the app to watch a game, it’ll tell you to turn it on. However, when you re-enter the app with your location turned back on, it’ll sometimes still not let you watch. The solution to the problem is to delete the app and reinstall. Another issue I run into is that sometimes the app just has connection issues. Even if you have good coverage. App is great but needs some bug fixes.

  • Embarrassingly bad

Ok seriously.. who’s in charge of this app? It can’t be this hard. The random crashes are becoming more frequent. Now, it will randomly mute. I’m guessing about 90% of your traffic comes during NFL games, and you’re BLOWING that opportunity. And it’s not like you have that many features/functions to begin with. Can’t even get the basic features to work properly. Really embracing your famous image of mediocrity. Update: Now the minimize button doesn’t go away. And certain games available to watch on my phone aren’t available on my iPad. On the same network and location. I have to ask.. are you intentionally sabotaging this app? Only explanation at this point.

  • Bugs or poor design?

Generally I like the southwest works pretty well, but I just noticed that at least in the NCAA basketball, it does not show my favorite teams unless they happen to be in the top 25, and even then sometimes not. No matter what conference you select, your favorite teams should show up at the top of the list, as they do in baseball and other sports. Or is this an oversight? When Illinois was in the top 10 their schedule showed up on the days they were playing. Now that they are out of the top 10, their games don’t show up, even if I select AP top 25 as the scores I want to see, and Illinois IS in the top 25. WTH??
