All was good until I started actually paying them
I found this app quite useful, although I hadn't tried others, so I can't compare. I had been using this for over a full year after using it for over a year, before they starting introducing ads recently. I figured that the ads were so distracting that I would be worth actually paying for the year long ad free subscription. I received a receipt through my iPhone account, stating the purchase. I contacted support and got a note back suggesting I hadn't paid, even though they didn't even check. I find this app now too difficult to use on my small screen, with its big, splashy moving ads, and support no help, so I'm now searching for a different one.

The best shopping list app - with a superpower no one else has
My wife & I use this app all the time to share our grocery list, hardware store list & a few others, and it is brilliant. The superpower of this app - keeping shared lists synchronised effortlessly and automatically through the cloud - is outstanding and easily worth the price. Yes it still has ads even though it's a paid app, but there's no other grocery list app with its superpower so it is still so worth it. Five stars & highly recommended.

80% Of Customers Hate This Latest Upgrade
For previous versions of this app, 44% of customers rated it 4 Star or Better. This latest version of this app that customers PAID for has only 21% 4 Star or Better. All of the reviews make it clear that putting Ads in a previously Ad-free PAID app and then asking your customers to PAY MORE EVERY YEAR TO REMOVE THEM is unethical and unacceptable. "The customer is always right" is a business principle that must be followed to succeed. You have now turned a following of happy customers who no doubt like myself recommended this software to others into bitter people who will no longer evangelize for your products. You have lost the value of free word of mouth advertising all for the sake of nickel and dime banner ads, or yearly gouging for customers WHO ALREADY PAID. I am disgusted.

Best Grocery App ever...and yet...
I've been using this for years. Love the App. Best bit has been the ability to create lists quickly through their website via desktop...except it's really clunky and...S L O W (and shouldn't be). Then there's the seeing all your categories with each item listed easily...crossing them off and then clearing what you've bought without deleting the items from the actual app...and then sharing the lists with my partner...fantastic concept...
I'd love to have faith in this company to buy the ad-free version...but just read how, in 2016, they have created an update that reverts the ad-free App to added ads...unless you subscribe further. Such a shame as this has the potential to be the best App out there. Please invest in this App, guys. Do a relaunch...Grocery Gadget Shoppping List Plus or something...and make your fortune just selling - and making great updates for - a paid-for, ad-free version. Because this is so much better than the competition. Or sell it...sell the App to another Developer...just donβt leave us hanging, please. I'm waiting and watching... surely a million+ people would pay a fiver each for this? I know I would...if you'd just give it the continual attention it deserves.

I have been using it for 3+ years and love it!
Better than a notebook
Use it every week and the online sync live is very useful when one person updates the list from home, and the other is shopping.
Used to love it
This app has its share of problems but overall I was happy to use it. I purchased the full version 5+ years ago & have used it ever since. With the latest update March 2016 they've deleted all the product photographs & they've now added advertisements!! I paid for the full version & have been using it for years ad-free! Why are you suddenly adding ads?! Not cool!

Gr8 App does the work
It's very professional app does what it says but it need an option to sent as text message and also editable email option to customise email subject would be advantages import features need an option for list title and many such features overall 4/5.
Great app
Great app to use to prepare a shopping list and while at the store. Items appear in aisle order so I'm not going back and forth all over the store. Can share my list with my husband so I can make a list and he can shop on the way home... or vice versa. Can check things off as I put them in the trolley and the items are moved to the bottom, out of my way. Can mark items I have a coupon for, etc.
The only thing missing is a field where I can keep track of what I have on hand at home. I often look at a special offer for something that's not on my list and wonder how many I already have of that item. Would be handy to be able to look it up on the spot to know whether or not to take advantage of the offer.
