so helpful

i absolutely love this app!!! it’s been so helpful in my learning. i’ve honestly never had so much respect for an app before. please check it out if you’re interested in learning japanese and looking for good resources!!

Literally amazing!!

It’s the best app ever and IT DOESNT COLLECT ANY OF YOUR DATA!! Every other app does and it’s so weird!! I’m so glad this app doesn’t collect unnecessary data to sell me anything. And it has amazing features, the best dictionary app for sure

Daily use for a decade+

Love this app, it even got me a wife and a few great friends.

Wondering if there's any chance of supporting exporting favorites lists/history out to flashcards apps like Anki and Wanikani.

Best app for Japanese learning

Imiwa, my beloved 🖤
I’ve been using this app since I think 2014? I’ve always been ahead of my classes in Japanese by far and never doubted it was greatly due to the help of this app. Nothing compares. N o t h i n g. I recommend it to everyone learning Japanese whether they ask or not. I couldn’t imagine getting as far as I have- or continuing studying without it.

Imiwa

This is the best dictionary app available I believe. This is my number one ☝️ go to Japanese dictionary. ( I also have another Japanese dictionary language app I like 👍🏾 and it’s my number two app. I only use it because it’s a Kanji reader). I have tried so many Dictionaries and I keep coming back to “IMIWA”. ALL you beginners who are learning Japanese, I recommand this app to you. However, you who know a little more like JLPT, analysing, reading, Vocabulary, Grammar and etc., YOU WILL LOVE THIS APP. I hope I peaked your interest enough that you will open up this app and view it.

Thank you so so much this helps me a lot especially the analyzer tab, I owe you so much to what i learned so far

Love This App

This app is so great. I can enter English or Japanese. One of my favorite things is that I can select text in a post or Website and then open Imiwa and the text will automatically be there with translations. So easy and convenient.

Beware: Security issue, steals your clipboard data

Great app, but since updating to the latest iOS, I notice that whenever I open the app, it says ‘imiwa? pasted from WhatsApp’ etc. Seems to be surreptitiously copying private information from your clipboard like TikTok was caught doing. What does the developer have to say? What’s being done with all this harvested information?

Really does everything you want, some UI issues

When you paste in text, it comes up with a message saying where you pasted it from - there’s no need for that.

Would be nice if it were easier to turn saved vocab lists into flashcards.

Simply superb

I have been using this gem of an app for years. It’s powerful, complete, easy to use, and full of essential features. Well done and highly recommend.
