This app is great. Super easy to use, full of useful content and runs flawlessly despite not being update for 3 years. And free!
I love how easily I can look up a new word and add it to a list for later studying. Superbly well designed.
They only thing I would ask for is a few more pre-made study sets out of the box, but considering the value for money I can’t complain.

My favorite dictionary app that I’ve ever used
I’ve downloaded a lot of dictionary apps for many different languages, and this one has been my favorite by far. The thing this app does better than others is a no ads, and a lack of friction with the search function.
Press the search button at the bottom left to start looking up a word. If you want to look up another word, instead of having to move your finger all the way up to the top and delete the word, you can tap the search button again and it will clear the word automatically and let you start typing with no other input. It is a small thing, but if you have to search dozens of words in a row it’s so helpful. I wish other dictionary apps had this feature.

This app is absolutely fantastic!
The only app i need
This is far and away the best, most complete, most helpful and easy to search denshi jisho I have ever used. I love that it also has flash cards, and the handwriting recognition for kanji is so useful!

I’ve started to learn Japanese for about 2 month and I found this app really helpful. But recently I could not hear the sound of the pronunciation of each word and I’m quite confused-since it worked before. So I was wondering if it’s only me or there’s a problem here??

The best Japanese dictionary app out there
Free, convenient and informative. This app has everything I could ever need in a dictionary app. Contains easy searching, intensive context and conjugations lists, stroke order tutorials, kanji flashcards among other things. Made my life infinitely easier, can’t imagine where I would be now without this. Highly recommend for all skill levels!

Hands down best Japanese vocabulary organiser on the App Store.
This app makes it really easy to record different nouns, verbs, or whatever parts of Japanese speech you’ve discovered in the Japanese media you’re consuming.
For me, making custom lists enables me to organise new words I’ve discovered while reading a manga in one list, and say from Genki or song lyrics in another. This makes it easy to go back and find words in those ‘Ah, I saw that kanji the other day!’ type-moments.
The stroke order animations are also incredibly useful for learning a new kanji on-the-fly. Brilliant app, many thanks to the developers 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Incredibly useful understated resource.
If you’re learning Japanese this is a fantastic reference resource for anyone from absolute beginners to advanced learners. I’ve had it on my home screen for what must be close to ten years, if not longer. It hasn’t been updated in three years but you can’t improve on perfection - don’t let that put you off. This is a must have.

Still one of the best
I think I paid $20 to get this years and years ago… And I still use it regularly. Although it's not updated terribly regularly it's an amazing at that I wouldn't hesitate to pay for again.
