Doesn’t sync
I have used this app for years on my iPad as a recipe binder as the app imports recipes easily, and it’s a nice layout to search and view recipes.
My biggest issue has always been that if your recipe is for multiple serves and you choose a different number of serves for the meal plan, the shopping list gives you the ingredients for the recipe, not for the serves chosen in the meal plan.
It’s annoying, but I could work around that.
I recently paid for the subscription so I could sync my recipes between my iPad and iPhone.
Only the titles of the recipes sync to the website and my phone syncs what is on the website.
No ingredients, no directions, no pics have synced.
It is meant to be automatic syncing, yet I have to manually press sync, and I’ve left it open all night for many nights over multiple weeks and I still don’t have anything other than the titles synced.

Invaluable
I use this as a meal and shopping list planner. I don't use any of the nutritional stuff as it is too complicated. I like this app because it is relatively easy to import recipes from the web, even if the website is not optimised, they just need a bit of tidying up. Friends have asked me to help them set it up, so we can now share recipes easily. I bought a protective cover from my ipad so that I can cook while using it with messy fingers. The option that keeps the ipad from locking while a recipe is on the screen is a really useful touch.

Syncing in the background? Yeah right!
Paying for the premium subscription, I expected the sync facility to work properly, that’s what I’m paying for right?
My emails thus far have failed to raise any sort of response from the developer. Don’t think I’ll be renewing the subscription next time

Disappointed
I have been using this app since it first came out. It used to be great! I could go online and easily import a full recipe with a simple click on the “import recipe” link. Now, all I get is the damned link and I have to cut/type/paste everything into the app - what’s the sense to that? I still use it because I have too many recipes to start over but I am not happy.

Looking good
I’ve only just started using this app and still finding my way around. It seems to be the best one l’ve tried yet. I like how you add recipes and it lists the ingredient. It would be better yet if it would automatically calculate nutrition value at least for basic foods. ( there may be some way to do this l haven’t found yet). I do find it hard to work out how to do something’s like removing one food item from menu. I’m yet to work out how to link with online shopping if I can do that. Only little thing that I’m sure I will manage to work out. I haven’t found a help button that will explain things better but it may be there somewhere. Over all looking forward to working thing out and pleased so far with the app.

Meal Planner
The title doesn’t do it justice. How can someone write such an amazing programme - better than anything else out there. I do have a couple of twerks I think would make it even better but I’m not complaining.
Not what it could be
I have been using this app for many, many years. The most recent update was my favorite. The annual subscription I was willing to pay and had me excited that the app would receive better maintenance. However, they have not updated the app in three years. At this point, features that worked are now glitchy. For example, exporting a menu now crashes the app. I’m not going to pay annually for an app that isn’t updated to at least keep existing features working with new iOS updates. Currently looking at other options which is frustrating given how time consuming this was to set up.

We’re done
Import function useless—will not accept ingredients list from many sites, even manually corrected, it still refuses to accept them. Save your time and effort.
No more app support
The developer seems to have disappeared. I’ve depended on this app for years of terrific menu planning, and it’s a shame to see it end. It’s been the most used app I’ve ever had.
The auto-import feature no longer works, and there’s no way to contact the developer for support in the app like here used to be. I would say don’t bother to try to use it now, since it’s bound to fail eventually, and you’ll lose all your work.

Needs upgrades
When importing recipes the ingredients don’t sort into the ingredients section. I have to input each ingredient manually.
On my iPad the keyboard covers the type when entering instructions so I can’t see what I’m typing.
I have too many recipes stored in this app to let it go but otherwise I wouldn’t bother using it.
Not worth buying.
