Drains battery

Check your battery use, this apps stays busy in the background and drain out your battery.

App is super glitchy

App is a hassle for the last two weeks, slow to load, doesn’t load class maps for those requiring specific bike or treadmill to be selected and crashes. Error messages are normal lately. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, turning phone off and on nothing works. Other apps work fine-it’s this app. Very frustrating to spend over 250 a month and the app doesn’t even work

New release has some major issues

The Equinox app has been really good in the past and is constantly improving and adding new features. I really appreciate that. This new release however has some some issues. First there are many glitches when you go into the Calendar feature and scroll from day to day the wrong information and the wrong day will be displayed. Furthermore, this app also has issues with booking group classes from a user experience standpoint people who use the personal training are no longer able to see all of their sessions in one glance have to go into the calendar and see it, day by day which makes it really hard for planning. it would be nice to bring the single glance for personal training back and perhaps even add an export feature. all that said I did like the improvement made with this release to the export feature for booking classes

Drains battery

I only use the app for a few seconds a day to check in only, but my phone is saying the Equinox app is using 3x more battery than my browser and Instagram (which we use for hours and hours). What is it doing in the background that drains so much battery??

Used to be good

The app quality has nose dived in the last year or so. Scheduling workouts ahead of time is a great feature… NOT being able to start the class directly from the schedule isn’t. You literally have to click 3-4 screens before starting class. Often doesn’t save previous workouts, just says “this day has passed” sometimes even on the actual day. Which. Makes it hard to not redo the same workout the next week. Other than soul cycle they’re rarely adding new classes to the platform. The classes often don’t start first time, I have to close out the app and relaunch. Que 3-4 screen clicking to restart class. Annoying is an understatement. As a long time user, it’s a bummer. I also used to be able to see how many classes I’d taken of soul and others but no more. That was really motivating/ rewarding. Bring it back.

Down the drain

This app had its hay day during the pandemic, since “return to normal” this apps quality has consistently gone down. From less and less info provided (# of classes take for spin/strength/etc, what classes you scheduled previously (sometimes even on the same day), i often have to exit an restart app to see the class. When scheduled I have to tap 3/4 times to get to class (open calendar>click day> click class details> click begin class> then often Hbe to reload entire app as image won’t appear, but sound will.) Just complete nonsense. The music, outside of soul, for the not part is just garbage. I’d prefer no music so I could play my own with the verbal cues. I wish this app was even a shadow of its former self. After reading all the other reviews, I’m not alone with my dislike of this app. Time to move on. I’ve written the team and no resolutions seem

Poor Value, Peloton Better and Cheaper

I had high hopes for Equinox Plus when I subscribed to their annual membership, but unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Compared to other fitness platforms like Peloton, Equinox Plus lacks in several key areas.

Firstly, the class selection on Equinox Plus pales in comparison to Peloton. The variety and quality of classes offered are limited, leaving me feeling uninspired and restricted in my workout choices.

Secondly, the price of Equinox Plus is double that of Peloton, yet the value and quality of the service provided do not justify the premium cost. It's disheartening to pay more for a service that offers less in terms of content and features.

One of the most frustrating aspects of Equinox Plus is the inability to sort classes by instructor. This feature is essential for users like myself who have favorite instructors whose teaching styles we prefer. Without this functionality, navigating the platform becomes cumbersome and less enjoyable.

Overall, my experience with Equinox Plus has been disappointing. I had hoped for a premium fitness experience but instead found myself underwhelmed and dissatisfied. I cannot recommend Equinox Plus, especially when there are better options available at a fraction of the cost.

I hope the Equinox team takes note of these concerns and works towards improving their platform to better meet the expectations of their users.

truly terrible

terrible user experience. they need to separate out the on-demand from the inperson uses.

Everything takes two or three steps when it should take one i.e. should have quick screen to check in… instead of having to open the app and then click on check-in.

It is impossible to search in any meaningful way without having to go through the very lengthy step process of rep favorites.

For as dearly as I pay for all access membership, app should be more helpful. You should be able to enter in an address that you are going to be at and have the app tell you what clubs and classes are available during a certain timeframe i.e. if you know you’re gonna be in Union Square from 12- 3pm noon on a Thursday you should be able to enter address location / time into the app and they can tell you which clubs are close and what classes they have during that time frame.

You should be able to search a class that you know by entering in Gym name and time period. I.e. I book a certain yoga class every Friday night. I should be able to say West 76th, Friday night at 6:30 pm and app would take you straight to that class to book instead of having to scroll through the entire day and/or days of classes, depending upon which favorites clubs you have chosen.

the app doesn’t gel with ipad. i.e. graphics get all screwed up. (see attached)

In any case, very unfriendly interface for on demand classes. always have to do 3 steps to find full list of meditation classes.
