  • Problems/ issue not working yet again

Wow and to think i almost thought it was fixed but yet again i was wrong clearly still messaging issues and location updating grid locations unreal User beware lots of immature guys use this. Also, I feel that there should be a safety feature that can stop people from screenshot pictures and messages because it’s crazy that people can make threats over something stupid because they’re not mature. No updates over a month issues are never corrected has this app given up it seems to esp when its been the same issues update after update after update its almost as if the update just changes a number so it appears you care but if you did fully youd fix these issues Plus i feel if i block someone there should be gone but yet if i close amd reopen the. App there are back nothing new its been a while since an update this needs fixed this is just as bad on the messages still getting lost in sent move

And to think or a min it was actually working and now 2/3/4 updates and now it’s useless once again what am I paying for you want people to buy a subscription then you better make sure the app is usable because I’m not paying for y’all to sit there and get paid for a get an app that doesn’t work can’t use anything and then you continuously break it should use that money towards people that know what they’re doing

  • Do not pay for this app

This app is so glitchy even if you pay for it. I am not out and live in a small town. I pay $40 a month for Unlimited so I am able to use the “Incognito” mode and not be seen. Two days ago the app stopped letting me use any of the Unlimited functions so everyone was able to see my profile when I logged on. By the time I deleted my picture it was too late. The grindr developers need to fix this. It is not only unacceptable but it’s dangerous. Grindr is essentially outing people with these glitches. The developers need to ensure that this doesn’t happen anymore. It’s an unacceptable glitch when they’re charging almost $500 a year to use the additional features. The other thing that will happen even if you pay is Grindr STILL has pop-ups. $500 a year is not enough. They keep begging you for $8 for a “boost” and your inbox is full is “sponsored” messages. They’re greedy. They don’t care if they out you or if you already pay $500 a year for the app. They only care about your money. No matter how much they charge for it they are still going to have pop ups and want more money for a “boost” or some other gimmick. Absolute garbage. “Ad free” is a scam.

  • Compassion for good people

That is what is needed on this wide and broad app. You can meet a lot of different people, but someone like me who just wants to share love and have the experience I want needs an app that is going to serve them. I deleted my profile multiple times, trying to restart with a clean slate, and now I have this one and I’m charging through with my little strong engine, fighting for my right to match with like minded people. We are all beautiful in our own ways, and this app needs to facilitate the same love its users give it. Cheaper options to upgrade and boost, allowing the option to not so easily block someone just because they sent you love (lol, it does happen on this app), allowing a better explore feature, allowing others to post sexy pics, not being choosy just because someone pays into the app and they have a rigid body standard not everyone wants to live by, allowing kindness to flourish. These good tips would make the app better, and I know you guys have it within you to foster a good experience that people have outside the app. Thank you.

  • Best App to Meet Transgender Women

And fir Transgender's women to meet men. I have been using Grindr for several years now and i love it. i have trued many other apps that say they are better but it's all lies. Nothing is better or even come close enough to even be considered as comparable. There's really no competition because Grindr has all the bases covered: U can video chat verify to prevent Cat-Fishing, which is is a huge time saver. U can see who's close by and try to start a conversation. Exchange pics and send your location. I like how grindr really takes measures to prevent harassment and allows you to report and block people that may be bullying or if you simply just don't want to talk to them. You cant go wrong with grindr. there are so many options if u get the Extra or Unlimited subscription you can go beyond what's around your immediate area and it allows you to see the typing status of someone youre chatting with and even unsend messages and become invisible online.

  • Frustrated Subscriber

I’ve been an Unlimited subscriber for a long time, and once again tonight I encountered an issue I’ve dealt with several times before which is virtually unsolvable. I logged out through the app settings, but when attempting to log back in under the email and log in method I’ve used since I’ve had the subscription, it no longer recognizes me as a previous user nor a paid unlimited subscriber. It’s trying to have me make a profile as if I’m new. I tried to “restore my purchase” and I get an error message indicating Grindr has no record of my subscription, even though I have a receipt from Sept. 15 where I was debited $43. Google play shows my subscription as active, though. I’ve lost my chats, my profile, everything and am out $43. You can bet your *ss that even though Grindr says “no record exists” of my subscription, they WILL debit my card this next month unless I cancel my debit card and get a new one (add another nuisance and headache). It’s happened before. I’ve been patient with this and other issues over the years I’ve been a Grindr user, but I’m fed up at this point. I’m paying more for this than my best porn subscription, but I don’t come away from this app with the same sense of money well spent. An app this pricey should have fewer technical issues, for a start! I really hate to leave bad feedback. But sometimes one has no other option.

  • The app used to be great not anymore

    The App:
I have unlimited subscription and I tell you I still get ads about boost. Why should I get ads when it says NO ads for unlimited? Also shouldn’t unlimited members get one boost per month? $40 after tax is a lot of money and I'm thinking of canceling it altogether. The worse of it all is that the app significantly lags if I starts getting noticed. I have to close and open the app multiple times and there’s been occasions when it has literally crashed on me. What’s the point of paying for premium if I still feel like I have the free version? What’s the point in using the app when it doesn’t work the way it was designed to?

    The people:
I can’t tell you how many times I have been offered money for sex on this app or how many underage kids are on the app! Also if you’re looking for dates, look elsewhere. I know the app says , “hookup and dating” but it’s really just a hookup app. And when hooking up please be careful. People are so reckless with their health on the app, if you value your life, you better ask the important questions or you may end up contracting something deadly because Grindr is NOT doing ANYTHING to stop the spread of preventable diseases!

  • Too many Catfish

Grindr is great for meeting new people and making friends with queer people in your proximity, but it’s also an excellent environment for people to catfish each other. Nothing is more frustrating than thinking you’re having a conversation with someone only for them to suspiciously ask for your number or email, or “WhatsApp” so they can scam you too. These people are very quick to block you if you show any sign of suspicion, so I’ve learned to gather enough information, and report them before confronting them. These kinds of people make me feel disgusting for engaging with them. I now must reverse image every new person just to trust who I’m talking to. This is a bad sign in my opinion. I want to have normal conversations with real people - not scammers, and not people looking for lewd photos for a quick “fix”. I have reported a dozen catfish in the last two months, and I have complained directly to grindr in my reports about this. I want Grindr to be aware of this problem, because it’s a counterproductive and toxic to a healthy queer community. Thank you for reading this.

We hear you on this! Unfortunately scams can be a full-time business for these folks and they love to find ways around our systems, so it's a constant game of cat and mouse. If you do come across these accounts, please continue to report them to us through the app so we can kick it to the curb. We are always improving our processes and welcome any further comments or suggestions from you. Reach out to us anytime at help@grindr.com.
  • 7/1/23 - The only app without blocking

The irony of the endless updates is found in the fact that with each, comes new bugs to supplement the bugs they’ve NEVER fixed (of course the ones that make all the difference in the experience). You’ll notice the canned update notice has never changed. The inability of ANY “block” to actually apply when you use it remains the largest issue, the strange limited and never updated “tags” that ignore reality & slant in a very single-minded & one-sided perspective (ie, non-smokers can look for non-smokers; but smokers cannot search for other smokers, T4T is the only T option. Meeting places assumes nobody has ever met at a cruising or other spot & worst of all, the ENDLESS hookers & other “Professionals” surfing for paying customers). Paying for membership doesn’t improve anything. Finally, Grindr should understand and face that 420 is LEGAL almost everywhere and METH isn’t & “lost chats” on 25% of profiles is as uninspiring as the “Hey”, “What’s up?”, “Are you looking?” that inevitably begins 90% of all DM’s in this cultural wasteland of Twitter, Snapchat & Onlyfans “influencers?”, “Tina” profiles, pic collectors, people selling something or expecting donations, flakes & fakes. But other than measuring distances by “as the bird flies” and even then getting it wrong by up to 50 miles, the rest of it is okay.
