Frustrating Language Glitch and Ineffective Navigation
I’ve been using Waze for a while, but recently it’s become frustrating. First, the app keeps switching to a language I don’t understand. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling it to keep the language in English, but it still resets to something unfamiliar.
Additionally, the navigation quality has seriously declined. In London, Waze used to be reliable, but now it frequently sends me on unnecessarily long routes, increasing my journey time by as much as 70%. It also seems to lack awareness of closed or restricted roads. Instead, it constantly alerts me to road bumps, which isn’t very helpful, as the speed limits already account for these.
If the Waze team reads this, I’d strongly suggest focusing on critical improvements, such as keeping language settings stable, improving navigation accuracy, and prioritizing useful alerts for road closures and restrictions over minor details like speed bumps. This app could be fantastic, but right now, these issues make it difficult to use.

I have been using this app for several years and with a response from support, I now know that if I am driving at or under the speed limit, I will only get a visual notification of the speed camera. I’ve always wondered why no audible but I understand now that only happens when you drive above the speed limit - Thank you support.
Shame that with the recent update, they have removed the Minions voice, which was my favourite. Maybe Waze only had approval for a limited time of using it but it was funny.
I had a couple of suggestions. So, as suggested, attempted to log them but even though they are already listed and I tried to vote, it wouldn’t allow me to as the website didn’t recognise my email address or password, said address or password was invalid. Weird considering I was already logged in to my account. I give up.

Use the map and first I was quite impressed but then it kept saying turn left turn left turn left turn left it keeps repeating itself which is extremely ignoring for example I was going over the shore from the city and as I was coming off port it said something keep right about 5 times the developer could narrow this down that would be super cool. unfortunately I deleted the app but I’m going to have another go due to some of the good reviews wish me luck

UPDATE KILLED WAZE !!
Notifications are very late, specially inside roundabouts!
By the time it tells me to exit, I’ve already gone past my exit!!!
Absolutely rubbish finding any small villages, north of Sintra (Portugal) ! Appalling !! The latest update is awful ! Now the voices are like Google and even worse, it keeps repeating the same instructions way too many times! I already turned a corner and it still repeats to turn again (even though there’s no more turns). But the WORST: it still gives exit/turn notifications way too late, as I’ve gone past them, it says to exit - too late !! It was such a nice app to use and now you killed it !!!! There’s no longer sound, even if my phone is not on mute ! We went through a roundabout, before the app notified I had to go right at the roundabout ! We also missed a left turn, because it only shows to turn at 40m before the turn, which is not enough, as turning lane is 100m long !! Need notifications a lot earlier. I no longer can search for a business in a particular street, as it shows results for the street only (not the business) ! Very disappointing. Previously: BUGS GALORE ! It no longer speaks the entire sentence! It starts speaking a notification and goes mute halfway through.

Fix Road closure feature
Been using Waze since it came out and absolutely love it and best navigation app out there.
However when trying to report a road closure - the feature seems impossible to use because I find myself tapping an arrow to report a closure and sometimes it take 5-10 taps on the arrow before it registers and closes off the road on the app or sometimes not registering at all and going back to navigation which is beyond frustrating! Please fix this as it just seems you spend more time tapping an arrow to actually report the road closure than helping other road users avoid certain roads because of an unexpected closure. Also it’s very annoying that the road closure feature doesn’t show on Apple CarPlay so you can report any unexpected road closures without having to disconnect your phone and manually report if like me (you’re not wasting time trying to tap arrows 20 times before it registers) - please add this to Apple CarPlay as well as fixing the functionality and usability of the road closure feature so at least people will avoid certain roads if they know they’re closed

I love waze but have to use another app called camera detector! Why???
As i said my primary navigation app is of course WAZE. I have no ticket of speeding or red light camera ticket. And i am very careful rider trust me but some time so much going on, on the road and as a powerful app we need more features and specifically about speed and red light camera alert like 1. Why WAZE not reporting before 300, 200, 100 yard of approaching speed or red light camera. Why doesn’t have option that i select that remind me. 2. Why doesn’t have specific and continuously sound alert before approaching speed or red light camera. 3. Why doesn’t have exceeding speed sound alert and i am talking about serious sound alert. 4. Why doesn’t have history of speed at specific route that i can check if i was speeding or not. 5. Why road closer report is so difficult. Common i have to use another app for this thing and it’s awesome app called Radarbot. If you have user like me who report and have platform so why so lazy to do such easy things. Please give us this features. I also know a little bit coding and I really don’t thing so that it is that much hard to do. Please fix it. Thank you.

Has been the best, most useful, and easiest to use navigation app available. Lately, however, it has become very buggy. It seems to have started when they were bought out by Google. Perhaps they are just getting rid of the competition by abandoning it, because it has problems running on Apple Car Play. 1/2 of the time the map shows, but won’t show a route, you can’t interact with it on the car’s touch screen display, and it won’t go into dark mode. Sometimes it’s just a blank screen until you shut the car off and restart it. I don’t want to use Google Maps or even Apple Maps, but often, I don’t have a choice because Waze won’t work. Update: Just as soon as it started working again, they updated and totally ruined the app. Don't know why developers destroy apps with updates that completely change it. With this update, they have pretty much eliminated users reporting incidents, police, objects on road, etc. Because now, instead of two screen taps to report, it now takes at least three and sometimes four. which is not safe to do while driving. I'm not reporting anymore because they have made it more time consuming and cumbersome. I know many users will also stop because of this, which eliminates the feature that set Waze apart from Google or Apple maps.
They also got rid of the on screen speed limit signs, which is another negative change making the app not worth using anymore.

Great app when using but so annoying with the auto opening and running when connected to CarPlay, no function to turn this off, going to use alternate maps app
