  • Great App

This is one of the best apps i have on my iPod! It is incredibly addictive and really clever. The music is great because it gives you that extra bit of motivation and encourages you to try again after you die. It's also clever how they have the War of the Worlds like scenario in the background so it makes you feel like you're running away from the disaster.

    A suggestion would be.......
you could make a difficuly setting like easy and hard and have separate leaderboards for each

An absolutely brilliant game well worth 4 bucks.

  • Great Game

Well, the only reason I bought this game is because I wanted a game that I could play for 2 minutes then be done with, like maybe in a short car ride. I wasnt expexcting that much but when i played it I couldn't beleive how thrilling it was. If you look, or listen to all the details (headphones do help) Its amazing how much effort was stuffed into my 30 seconds of fun until I died. Thar made me come back for more. Worth 3 dollars to me.

Ps: Some of the death quotes are hilarious! Maybe in an update you could add a section that tells you how many times you died this way or that. That would be great!

  • Not worth price of admission

Overall fun game with an interesting soundtrack, however i can't help but feel the developers are giving this game more credit than its worth. It's interesting how a number of hand picked reviews used as the description can so easily sway the opinions of buyers.

This game lacks any real story, direction, or evolution of gameplay. All you do is tap the screen repeatedly.

Granted, story isn't entirely neccessary, however the game doesn't have much going for it. The only thing that varies is the few songs you're given to listen to. Aside from that, same gameplay, same graphics, same mechanics, same environment, over and over and over again.

To go from being a free flash game to a AU$4 iPhone app is a bit silly. This game is worth 99c, max.

  • A little pricey...

GREAT game, tons of fun and very intense.

BUT, three bucks?! For something you can get for free? (yes, legally) i don't mind paying for good games, but $1 would make a LOT more people try and enjoy this simple yet great game.

Regardless of my complaints on the price, props to the dev.
  • Awesome game

It's a great game. The music is interesting, the game play is easy to understand but hard to master, and there's a sense of mystery as to what the guys running from.

Not sure what people are complaining about. First of all it is a simple game where you tap it and the guy jumps. It's not a 3D shooter. Idk what people expect as far as music goes, but this game started as an experiment. They probably didn't have the money to hire a large orchestra. That said, I think the music is great. Don't like it? There are volume buttons for a reason. Push the right one to turn down the music. Although a dialogue asking if you want music or not when you first launch the game wouldn't be outta the question.

Idk what people are talking about with the fps, but I have lots of multitasking stuff on my 3G (not 3GS) and this game runs smooth as silk. Maybe restart your iDevice once in a while?

How 'bout Game Center integration? Apple didn't include that little icon there for nothing! Also, please do update to support multitasking!

  • Retro; with a touch of modern

-Simple and yet polished graphics and the pick-up-and-play nature of this game makes it fun.

-I don't generally care about sound, but the music/sound effects in this game are so immersive it's worth a mention.

-It's based on a free flash game so I don't think we can expect much in terms of contents update - which is unfortunate since a lot could be added; powerups/things to collect, the ability to jump higher if you make consecutives jumps (a bit like some Super Mario games?), levels, a speed indicator, etc.

Overall awesome, not dissapointed in having paid the hefty 3$ pricetag.
Edit: seems like the sound controls aren't working, in the settings App they appear to simply reset to maximum when you launch the game.

  • Genius

One touch gaming at it's best. Very addictive, got the lead from the mini game in pocket god, both great versions but the music and the varitey of gameplay challenges on this make it more playable in the long run. The only let down on the game is the fact there're only 2 songs to choose from, and while they're very suiting and engaging tunes you eventually want to hear more - more of the same kind of music - but still more. Would be nice to see a few more obstacles to clear and maybe some options like hard and extreme etc but overall this is already a very nice rounded game and worth a go, you won't find better for cheaper!

  • Fantastic indie take on "run 'til you die"

There are quite a few complaints here about the price. All I will say, is that I believe I've gotten more than my money's worth out of this game.

This may be one of the best games in the app store in the category "I have about 2-3 minutes to kill here, what should I play?" However, I would lie if I didn't say that I've also sat there playing this game for twenty minutes or more. If you are one of those people who enjoys the old-school concept of the "perfect run", this game is for you.

Gameplay-wise, the controls are responsive, incredibly important since your character's only chance of survival are well-timed jumps. The kinds of obstacles you face never get old. Especially when the scream of the rare bomb falling breaks up any chance of monotony. Some runs, when your character finally meets his fate, you'll realize you've been barely breathing for the past few moments.
The graphical style is fantastic. Apps with such a unique style are missing from the store. The music is great too. When it gets going, it really motivates your jumps. The opening screen of the app "For maximum awesome, headphones recommended" is so true.

The only downside to this app is that after playing so long, you do wish there were other possible runs. Still, I don't regret the current $2.99 price-tag. It's definitely a unique game that I'm proud to see on my home screen.

  • A Surprisingly FUN App!!

Basically, it's a guy running and jumping from rooftops while monsters are destroying other budingsin the background and airplanes are flying to the monsters to stop them. All YOU have to do is tap the screen to keep your guy running while all this other madness takes place in the back! SO simple but add EPIC drama increasing music and non stop surprises and intrusions that drop from nowhere and surprise you to death and it's a SURPRISE how much fun it is!! It's expensive but honestly, I think you should buy it. Not sure?? Type in the app's name on Google and play thisgame free on their website! Headphones add to the fun!! Trust me!

  • Simple but fun.

A simple but addictive game. Not much else to say except the ~ $4 price tag seems a bit much for such a simple game.
