Generally great app latest version has been buggy
SoundCloud is usually my fav app, love the ui/ux and do the largest part of my listening on it.
Lately however I’ve found the app to be too buggy. It’s always losing my place in the mixes I’m listening to, which is super annoying.
Offline downloading is really unreliable and I need to keep going back and hoping all my downloads have completed.
Likewise sometimes I get on a flight looking forward to play all the mixes I’ve downloaded for the flight and they just won’t play, or will start playing and run out maybe 10-15 mins in. Super frustrating.
Lastly, it would be super awesome if you should store play information and progress linked to our user profiles so that when I switch from mobile to web, I can continue seamlessly from where I got to. Also keeping track of what I have listened to and what I haven’t from my playlists would be super handy.
Overall great but just tighten up on the quality aspects and it would be 5 stars.

Artist feed removal
Extremely hard to follow favourite artist feeds now that Soundcloud removed the bubble feed. Seems to be an update for the sake of an update. Not impressed, WeR1 has a better model.
Mixed feelings
I’ve had SoundCloud since 2021 and literally the best streaming service for music for sure. But It’s logged me out several times for no reason and I was able to get back in besides about two days ago when it logged me out and I try to put in the email and password I used for it but it didn’t let me log in. I tried everything, logging in through google, Facebook and apple. To which all have failed because “I haven’t created an account and didn’t put in the right information”. I even tried making a totally new account when it sent me a message saying I looked too much like a spam account and didn’t let me create one. It said if it was mistaken to message their support team which I was greeted by a robot. This did not help at all. I played around with it trying to see if I could get to the bottom of it. But it soon stopped replying to my messages leaving me with no help whatsoever. I still haven’t been able to get my account back. I was curious to see if it would let me log in through the website with the same email and password which to my surprise it did. I’m now to listen to my songs but I’d rather be able to actually skip and see what song is next. Big inconvenience and am considering switching to Musi if this does not get fixed or I get my account back.

Finally deciding to write a review
Been using Soundcloud since 2019, honestly, this is one of the few apps that I can’t live without. I’ve loved using Soundcloud ever since I first found it! I grew up with this app🥺❤️
Good
Soundcloud is really good I love listening to it there’s only a couple bad things about it is that when you wanna listen to an actual song and it’s not remixed sometimes you have to pay but that’s only with a couple songs and then the other problem is that there’s too many ads, I’m in the gym and sometimes I listen to like 5 songs which are like 3-4 minutes and then there’s an ad. Other then that great songs good music and amazing remixes.

URGENT 🚨 VERY IMPORTANT
Despite the ads being very annoying I quite love Soundcloud and it’s my favourite platform to listen to music. But there is a serious problem for me right now. All the playlist I have created, which took years to make by the way, HAVE ALL BEEN DELETED! I tried logging in and out again, redownloading it on another device and updating it, yet all my playlist are GONE. Not only this but I can no longer listen to other artists playlists either. THEY’VE DISSAPPEARED TOO! Please can you fix this.😭 🙏

If it ain’t broke…
NEVER try to fix something that isn't broken. Ever since the revamp with the app logo change and permanent dark mode, almost the whole app has been a terrible, very irritating experience, sometimes it seems like they fix a couple things after a painstakingly long process but then end up making more bugs somewhere else. They consistently update this app, I don’t understand how it could possibly take so long to improve the app if they’re actually trying, it often seems as if the app can’t go w/o having at least one bug, it seems like just about every update is ruining the app in some way. One time I read another reviewer’s theory is that the app has been hacked and I agree, because there’s no way they’re allowing this many bugs. If the developer is reading this, I’m begging you PLEASE PLEASE fix your app I would honestly pay for premium if it actually meant it would greatly improve the app, and if a new user is reading this, I highly recommend using a different app, imo SoundCloud is hardly worth the time or energy (unless you really like unreleased music) I just have so many hours spent of adding tracks, it would be very difficult for me to switch. If I find an app like this but much better, and could transfer all the tracks over quickly I will use that instead

FANTASTIC but my playlist is not loading?!
Soundcloud is great, I use it to stream songs and mix them on rekordbox. I’ve been mixing for a while and I really enjoy mixing most days. I cannot mix today because the app simply won’t load the contents of any playlists at all.
My playlists claim they’re empty and have no tracks in them but I know for sure that there are in fact MANY tracks in there… This has persisted for several hours now and has not rectified itself after me signing out and back in again on all devices, deleting the app, clearing my caches, and I’m at a loss regarding what to do now. I love soundcloud but I can’t do what I like anymore because nothing works?!
Please fix this.

Does not uninstall when u have uninstalled the app!
When you uninstall an app I would assume that all of your data caches would be removed! Evidently even though I have removed you! Your app is still creeping in the background ..can you explain what functionality you think your app can bypass on my phone or is it just poor construction! why when I reinstall is the app still logged in with previous details and notifications that have already been seen showing up! The old notifications still show as if they have not been viewed ! Why? Logging out of the app I would assume also that you are NOT creeping in the background profiling individuals with your stalker statistics! If I log out your app needs to stop running your privacy boundary crossers through my phone! Greater privacy needs to be implemented in this app I do not understand how you expect people pay for subs when you yourself are selling data to make money for yourself

Life saver
Since I lost my job I’ve had to cut back on spending temporarily, including Apple Music. I am an avid music lover and SoundCloud has always been used by me for some remixes not found on mainstream streaming services.
It works fantastically. Not all songs are available without premium however there a large portion of big artists who do not require it. I think it’s a fantastic app, and it means I can still enjoy my music even in my current circumstances.
One note I will add, although I won’t knock a star for it- sometimes the ads are very frequent and there are two together. I’d be happier with the occasional song having a 15 second ad at the start and one at the end, as I typically skip through tracks a lot which triggers ads to generate faster. Other than that, thank you SoundCloud!
