Some of us do not want to upgrade.
Look, this is a great app. You can listen to other people’s music and post your own so others can hear it. Cool concept, one I definitely have taken advantage of these past few days.
However, this feature has a catch: you can only post so much for free until the app basically forces you to upgrade to pro, which you have to pay $199 a month for?!? EVEN if you have an account?? That’s ridiculous!! I suggest as a compromise that every time you upload past the limit, you have to watch an ad. It’s not the best compromise, sure, but ads make money. And if you want to make money, I suggest doing that instead. Maybe while the track is getting ready, an ad will play. It may be annoying for some, but it’s better than paying 199$ a month for an app that I just want to use to get my Spyro fan tracks out there, as well as my originals. So, please take that into consideration? I think it’d be a great compromise that doesn’t empty your wallet.
Also, for those who do want to upgrade, you can give them that option. Have us either choose the ads option or the pro option. It’s that simple! You make money either way, it’s a win-win!!
I hope this review finds a SoundCloud employee who will possibly take my idea into consideration. I’m loving this app so far! It’s been really helpful!

Terrible/non existent support & shady business practices
First of all they have no phone number for the entire company no contact for support, billing, etc. which is a huge red flag. The only way of contacting them is by submitting a ticket which they will take their time getting to if they even decide to respond. And if you try to cancel your subscription the day it is set to renew they will renew your subscription regardless of you choosing to cancel it and they will keep your money for an entire extra month that you cancelled and did not want. They rely on shady business practices like this because they are slimy company that will do whatever they can to steal every bit of money they can because they know their service is absolutely awful for the price and the second someone figures out that they’re being over charged for a sub par service at best and they cancel their subscription then SoundCloud will do whatever they can to keep every single dime they did not earn by keeping your subscription going even after you cancel because they want your money and will do any shady business practice to get it. Great potential but unsatisfactory for me…
First off I’d like to say that I love SoundCloud. As a an artist who dabbles in making music as a hobby this has really been the catalyst to getting my works out. Which is a direct relation to its next advantage of having such a wealth of range in artists you can find. The issues I have aren’t with the music platform itself but the application and its accessibility or rather lack of. Being an Apple Watch user I’ve contemplated several times switching to an app that better suits my needs compatibility wise, also not being able to create shortcuts on the phone is minus too. Besides the regular bugs I hate how the download button is so close to the shuffle. The amount of times I miss-press the download and have to deal with the annoying repercussions is irking because the storage on my phone is already full and makes matters worse. Not being able to change or edit the title of playlists is a bummer too. Lastly this is more of a hope in what can be improved which is the search function. New update disappointment
Unfortunately with this new update it seems it made my SoundCloud experience as an artist/collaborator a bit less enjoyable. From problematic situations after another. I understand it’s difficulty with making sure you meet the demands and compliance of clients and listeners needs, so I won’t be too brash on my comments. However I’ve engaged as much as possible to reach out to developers in order to review certain problematic reoccurrence’s such as, app crashes, mp4 or .wav uploads to even downloads for on the go. Search engines freeze upon scrolling to seek other users in support of their creative musical projects to even networking with other artists or inspired early staged musicians. On the plus side developers were able to modify and correct including add certain features towards linked content for digital turn table play and other adaptions for connecting and linking with my equipment, digital switches and soundboards. Hopefully future developments on these updates would be greatly improved where it wouldn’t hinder subscribers use of application.Show lessA. Uzi

This is great! I recently have had a similar experience with dodge county wisconsin with the social workers for cps. I feel something needs to be done with them. They would much rather take kids (2 baby sisters) and throw them into foster care rather than come home with what they know and what they love but because we are not family we have been pushed aside even though my family and I have been turned away even though we have taken care of the baby’s from age 3 weeks old now 1 1/2 yrs. I’ve now tried to bring to court and get a judge hope and pray that he will see and let the kids come with us. (Court is in 3 weeks) the cps people have even asked the foster trainer to not call me back deliberately. There very against us and unsure why but it’s not fair for the children. Never try to fix something that isn’t broken
Never try to fix something that isn't broken. Ever since the big change this app has been a terrible, very irritating experience. First they remove the ability to sort songs and now I just started dealing with the worst bug i've ever encountered in probably anything, for whatever reason, all of a sudden when I try to add a song to a playlist all of my already existing ones disappear, but when I make a new playlist they all return, it's like part of the app thinks I don't have any playlists yet and part of the app knows I in fact do, I would not be surprised if it actually deletes them all. (When I delete the playlist I just made my already existing ones are actually deleted temporarily, I have to close the app at least once when this happens) They literally just updated this app, how does it have more and bigger bugs??? it seems like every update is ruining the app more and more now. I have countless hours spent on this app adding songs, if a developer is reading this, PLEASE don't take my progress away, and if a new user is reading this, I highly recommend finding a different app, this one is not worth the time. Suggestion
Hi I was wondering if you could make a setting that lets you pick whether or not to have a suggested song play after songs in your playlist ends bc I listen to songs and then y’all will play songs made by their opposition that is dissing their dead friends and I don’t want to listen to their music but since it’s similar y’all recommend it and before this update y’all had it were if you didn’t shuffle your playlist after all your songs played at after the last one it would stop and not play another song. And I liked that bc I would listen to music on sound cloud every night and I have like a 7 hour playlist that I listens to and when it ends and I wake up it plays the opposition’s music and I don’t like that it’s not a big problem if y’all don’t do any thing I was just asking. Aloha, Okay, I’m officially intrigued. You are a whole company… I’ve been I college for 5 years for computer science/ software engineering. I had souncloud since I was in 8th grade, the only music app I’d use. 😂 A week ago I duplicated your “app” and made it exactly the same as yours when not published; though don’t get fooled by that sentence; I know my rights, fk add on to what I have just said. I have 4 years of study before college with experience. Why am I a Karen about this little thing? I did it ONLY BECAUSE, the bugs In your system AFTER THE RECENT UPDATE; Such as, searching for a song and my screen crashes. Trying to lick a song my screen freezes and I cannot click anything, trying to scroll through my playlist and it freezes; Not sufficient. SOUNDCLOUD was doing amazing. Comparing yourself to other platforms of music will not make you more successful. I think this is great feedback, for you guys to know, & also fix the bugs if Instagram can do it in a day you can too, it doesn’t take “much” money all the time it takes your brains in the company. New update is pure garbage
I’ve been a SoundCloud user/artist since 2010 I’ve never once had a problem with this app until the recent update it’s so annoying. Nothing loads none of my tracks I liked load none of my insights load nor does the home screen load for weekly updated or new songs artist dropped. I already uninstalled this app 4 times hoping it was just an error but it’s not, I really hope the users/creators of SoundCloud didn’t delete my music or my liked tracks if they did then I’ll rate this app lower and delete it. Whoever’s genius idea it was to update SoundCloud for IOS like this needs to seek help they also did a horrible job. Why is it that all these people who had SoundCloud for years never had a problem, until this current update all these reviews from Users/artist that are leaving on this update is just showing the person who updated SoundCloud like this really did do a horrible job.Show lessWSN_1400
